He was always inviting me to ride in Florence where all my extended my extended family lives. It never worked out and we never met in person. We traded pm's and parts occasionally. I remember seeing pictures of his wedding and I remember when he joined the Marines and was deployed. I pray for comfort and peace for those who love him. Rest in peace brother.

Matt, does this post imply that PTSD got the best of him? If so this really touches close to home for me as im sure it does for most of you on here. My family lost a friend to PTSD suicide and I have another friend that struggles with the thought of it every day. The ONLY thing that keeps my friend going is a new organization called Team Rubicon.

From what I read...yes. And I will pass that info on to my cuz the very second I talk to him today!

Folks, Jesse was a wonderful person. I had the pleasure of meeting him many years ago in Nashville and several times since...and watched him grow from a gangly teen into a wonderful young man, soldier and husband. Jesse was a 0861 Scout Observer in the 2nd Anglico, Marine Corp, USA. I'll never forget the absolute gratitude he and brothers in arms showed when I sent them baked goods during their deployment a few years back, and the hilarious emails and PM's we exchanged over the years. My heart breaks for his parents Tammy and Jeff, and his beautiful bride Morgan. Such an absolute tragedy - and yes, severe PTSD was the culprit.

I've been in touch with Harrison Landford, who was like a big bother to Jesse, as well as Jesse's mom. All are understandably heartbroken over this terrible loss. His mother writes:

"Jesse's Dad and I thank you and the jetski community that took our son in under their wing and spent the time and attention with him. He was like a sponge, eager to learn everything he could and so very many of you welcomed him with open arms. You have our appreciation and gratitude for showing/teaching him things we could not. If anyone would prefer to donate to The Semper Fi Fund in Jesse’s honor, Jeff and I more than support it. We just hope to help even one Marine from having to suffer what Jesse did."

As the celebration of life is being planned, they have asked that anyone wishing to honor Jesse's memory do so with a donation of their choice to the Semper Fi Fund ( https://semperfifund.org/donate/ ) You may include a request to have the acknowledgement sent to his folks here:

Very sad, I had never personally met Jesse however I have been at events with him and have always seen him around the jet ski seen having fun. I remember when he was just some young kid at the events then hearing about him getting married then into the military seems as if I had known him for some time and brings tears to my eyes.. He will be missed deeply wish I would have been able to know him better other than just on a forum. Some day we will meet and talk in another life.

My favorite memories of Jessie were seeing Him and Morgan go from puppy love to life long true love, from kids to adults. The one that sticks out the most is in Daytona 5 or 6 years ago when Jessie was struggling in his first surf ride and Morgan was running up and down the beach watching out for him and helping retreive his ski whe he would crash, NO FEAR ON HER PART or his and the surf was rough that year. She followed him like a mother following her kid on his first bike ride with no training wheels.
Great people, incredibly loving and cute couple.
Thank you Jessie and Morgan for your service and ultimate sacrafices for our country.

I remember when he was just post whore on this site than meeting him for the 1st time at the riot ride. We hung out in the parking lot of Daytona in 07 drinking beers and laughing.

i only met him a couple times, and he was always running around talking helping whom ever needed it. didnt really get to know him and now i regret not taking the time. he had a presence that just made you want to smile and be happy.
i could probably make the trip on Saturday if BK, Paul and the others feel i wont be over stepping. this saddens e deeply. have friends and family on the marines now and this is a big fear of mine that they come back and have similar issues.

No, you would not be overstepping. We want anybody that knew Jesse, or even did not know Jesse to come... The Service on Saturday is a Celebration of Life, Anybody that want to get up and tell a "Jesse" store is welcomed and wanted.

As I didn't know Jesse, it seems he was a close friend to many and family to more. My condolences to friends, family, and riding brothers. I'm around quite a few people here at work (military base) who suffer from PTSD, and you really don't know how they feel or what they think and dream about. This is a problem most people don't wish to talk about, and should. I'm deeply sorry for the loss, RIP Jesse.
