Custom/Hybrid rok-r ride reviews please.

I came across a good deal so I'm buying it. I love trying new hulls. I'm a pretty light guy and my wife wanted to build a ski from scratch this winter so this will be perfect. I'm still looking at buying another one or 2. I will probably run a stock power plant at first in it and if I like it go with a dasa 950 and 148 mag in it. I have a goal of trying every hull out there but being in canada you have to buy them to ride them. But numbers are growing so hopefully I don't have to buy a carbon ninja. $$$$$$$

I stood and watched at Body Beach for a while on Monday morning after WFs. There was a Large guy ("mike" i think) that had just recieved his new KDX1200 and he was riding the piss out of it until the pipe broke. Plate to plate flips with ease. Then a few minutes later the same guy hopped on Jeff's Rok-r 1200 and it looked a bit awkward. He figured out how to make a setup wake without falling over then started trying back flips. He nosed a few in but nothing like on the other ski. I thought the wdk12oo would put that tiny thing into orbit. Maybe the setup was off a lil bit, the WDK crew had been wrenching on it all morning.

good to know. I have got lots of mixed opinion pm'd to me too. very sceptical but i can assure you i will give an unbiased ride report with a 701 and then a 950 unless i pick something else up ....like a freak. ill have to throw the 950 in that. Yes i know i should get down to WF and DAYTONA. will see, i might be able to make daytona. I had days booked to go to WF but had to cancel last minute. I have also heard that these ski's hydro-loc lots. Is this true? any solutions to the problem?
