Tem's mold for the Superfreak Hulls are "modular".

He can change areas such as the rear, handlepole bracket, area etc.

He uses clay in the mold to "seal the gap" when interchanging spots, then does his lay up... genius really.

This is a BRAND NEW hull. This was NOT my old one cut down.

My last ski was -5.5"ish... this is -10"ish.

nice talking and all, but we want to see action

for real...

the couplers that come with the PowerFactor Pipe are junk - i blew the original one out years ago when i first took possession of the pipe.

towards the end of my ride on Memorial Day (28th/Monday), the exhaust manifold to chamber Coupler finally tore at the one end (I had been running this "heavy duty" one for 3 seasons I believe that a friend gave me).

thought i had one lined up locally and received it Wednesday, only to find out it was to big.

paid to have another Silicone Coupler overnight shipped to me to receive Friday. installed and blew the thing right in half in less then 15 minutes...

needless to say, i have not done any riding :17:

screw silicone couplers... they are junk.

i have 3 feet of HEAVY DUTY hose coming... part # 644 from Napa for anyone interested.

this is pretty much the same stuff i was running for 3 seasons without issue.

hope to pick up the hose tomorrow as Napa had to order it, then ride after work.

Huh. The couplers that came with mine look very heavy duty. Been running them for a couple of months without problems.

i had one of the first batch of PowerFactor pipes ever (when the switched over from welded sections to big stamped pieces).

maybe it was just first batch? don't know...

another reputable forum member confirmed they are complete junk as well and who recommended the 644 to me.

Bit of an update: My chamber slipped off the manifold coupler this weekend and slightly damaged the coupler by the hose clamp tearing a piece off.
I made sure the pipe really sits secure now. I hope.
Anyway, I noticed that the Napa #644 3.5 inch hose is only a 2-ply hose. Are you sure that's HEAVY DUTY?
Stock PFP coupler is 4 ply.
I just ordered some NOMEX 4 ply hose, I'll try that out.
I am also getting the 644 stuff from Joe, so I'll run both and compare.

it may be 2 ply, yes, but is completely different material then silicone / junk that PowerFactor Provides.

you can't go on the ply count alone... i bought a silicone coupler with a highest ply count i can find and it didn't last long.

when i say "heavy duty" i mean it is crazy tough - like rubberish almost. i honestly don't know what it is exactly.

i have stacked a lot of 26mm underpadding under the chamber and used two straps to hold down tight.

i tried a Nomex coupler as well years ago - blew that thing out really quick.

i have only ridden for 13 gallons of fuel so far - i just have been to busy with work and racing :261:

i have turned he flow control valve all the way in to dry out the waterbox as much as possible, but i still need to go down in a jet size.

still tickling the carbs as well.

ski is snappy as hell but i want to get it to where it feels like one of the one's i demo'd when down in Florida and hooked up with X Scream Inc.

been keeping a log book of adjustments i have made / how it feels as i go.

i hope to get some HOURS / GALLONS in this weekend... I HOPE.

and i am sorry no action stuff to post yet :(

You weren't kidding. That NAPA hose is great. Super sturdy. I also put another Hydroturf support right under the manifold side of the chamber so that it lines up perfectly (without the coupler)

i have a whopping 30 gallons of fuel through this thing now :cheer2: ha

at about 20 gallons (this past Friday), i pulled the motor back out, added more inserts to the right engine bay wall to help secure the waterbox and silicone hose better (it was hitting the back carb / rubbing).

rode 10 gallons of fuel between Saturday and Sunday - everything is now pretty frickin' solid.

i am still messing with the carbs / jet at the stinger and flow control valve, trying to find the "sweet" spot.

water was rough Sunday evening (was difficult for me to hit the setup wake correctly), but my girlfriend was able to get a few pics from her iPhone.

i can finally make it all the way around on barrel rolls with my horrible form thanks to the "big boy" motor

she snapped one video i need to get from here and upload. will do later...
