Florida Softshell I believe. I hear mixed reviews on turtle but these guys are supposedly the tastier of the bunch. I’ve never tried it but I hear you either love it or you hate it.

I can’t get past the whole Salmonella thing but realistically, it’s probably no worse than handling chickens.

Anyone else watching the release date for the new Reolink 4K NVR?

The cameras are already available and currently on sale but the NVR is still not available. I’m ready to pull the trigger on one but debating on waiting for the 16 CH to be released or buy the 8Ch and just run two separate units.

I actually plan to add 3 more HD cameras to capture wildlife on the pond which puts us at 18 cameras so we actually need 2 NVRs to achieve that.

Now that I have the turtle cams I honestly never bring up any of the other cameras anymore.

Besides the obvious increase in resolution, I'm most looking forward to color night vision. Apparently it only extends color vision into lower light conditions than previous models. It will still switch to black and white when it's really dark.

Not that I am aware of. I haven't seen much action since I gave the last 2 beta models bad reviews.

I've sent them emails asking about a 16Ch 4K unit and there response has been that there is no official release announced as of yet. I'm expecting them to release it the day after I order an 8Ch.

The In-laws had an attempted break in this past week so I ordered an 8Ch NVR and a bunch of 5MP cameras for their house.

Their neighborhood has been getting sketchy the past couple years as more and more houses transition to rentals. Each time there is an incident, we talk cameras but they never have the money so I finally just had to buy it myself. The piece of mind will be worth every penny.
