Surfriding Separate heading in forums for Surf Riders?

My big question then is, isn't it just a trademark for a website name? So, what is there to stop someone from using as the name of a race or anything else? I'm not up on trademarks at all, and I do know that there is a line of golf shirts named xh2o from Bobby Jones and so far they haven't come after us for using x-h2o.

Well, what do you know, as of last week there is also a XH20 trademark for bottled water. I may have to buy a few cases.

I think you messed with my posting ability again, for I attempted to fix my double negative you quoted, and it said my post was too short again...blah blah blah (stop doing that to me please :17:).

Exactly! Something which transpired over the net! I do not believe I have ever met that WAB guy either (if I have, I have not spent time enough talking to him to remember him).

Edit: and I went back and fixed my post anyway! :chairshot:

It is pretty weak in terms of trademarks. Just like it says:
....providing a web site featuring photographic, video and prose presentations featuring surfing using personal water craft and jet skis.

Someone could probably run a race, promotion/event, etc and get away with it.
(I am no lawyer and neither is the spokesperson)

Tell me where I can get some of that water....:arms:

Noone sits around "messing with post abilities", you just did something wrong on your end.

BK, Andrew, everyone please don’t start a silly argument, it doesn’t matter, just let it go. I think you guys are proving Suzis point. Let’s forget the Motosurf name, that’s Jerrys. We can just call the new heading “The Surf Ski Section

The idea is not to form flat water vs. surf rider clicks on the board, we are all stand up riders and we benefit from each other. The idea is to lesson the confusion on which set ups work best in the surf by having a separate heading to post and discuss mods which are specific for skis to be ridden in the surf, mods that would most likely hurt a flat water set up.

If anyone thinks a separate surf ski section would be beneficial to everyone (both surf riders and perspective surf riders or just curious on lookers) then bump the thread by posting your support.

I don't agree, they're fighting over who made up the name Motosurf. That has nothing to do with a surf ski specific thread, like I said we can call it something different. People will always argue about silly stuff, sometimes you just have to check your pride and move on,some haven't learned that lesson yet.

As far as a new surf ski topic, I'm suggesting a new heading, not a different web page. If it happenes I'm still going to read (and comment) in all the threads just because I love skis

To address your original post, I believe you have been on this message board long enough to realize, after due thought, what I say is highly, likely true...it shall cause more harm than good within this network to create the section, sadly.

Knowing you, I do not believe you would wish to be responsible for such, and I sincerely hope that not another soul would wish to be either, for I think it would be selfish, as well as an injustice to all.
