but, its a jet boat. what would the neighbors have thought??:cool2:
:haha:
im guessing that it is probably waterlogged. i can see how it could easily get that way. but i figure it doesnt really matter much anyway. it doesnt need to be "lightweight" like a ski. how many more lbs could a waterlogged boat be? even if its 100 lbs, i dont think it would make it unusable... especially since i didnt own it when it wasnt waterlogged so it would always be the same to me..... besides... im not about to do a refoam on it :scared:
.... sponsons and footholds, however.....
im sure the neighbors would have thought i was a homo:flowers1:
touche'!!!
really though, just check it.i remember reading about one that weighed 1200lbs and would hardly get up on plane.if it is wet you dont have to refoam.just let it dry out and then make sure everything is sealed good with 5200.all the pump mounts, topside fittings and i think there is a plastic cover in the bilge under the motor that can leak into the foam
1200lbs?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :scared: :scared: :scared:
are you talking about the drain plug under the engine that drain the bilge water throug hthe hull when on the trailer?
thats it.make sure the flange isnt cracked and that its sealed up good.
wow
even the "completed" wiring looks a little rats nest'ish
:stups:
yeah, well... thats steves idea of a "complete" electrical job.
he didnt even remove his old wiring. maybe he was trying to make a 'net' for every time his stereo falls down into his bilge when hitting a small wave.
:haha:
steve... congrats on your "after" picture looking nicer than my "before" picture.
you are indeed a star!
btw, WHERE did you get that choke cable bracket on the carb. that thing is PHATT!:bananapowerslide:
btw, that thing looks nice! how long did you clean it before taking those pics today?
:haha:
you just jealous!...at least everything works in the boat
yeah, that choke bracket is useless. it starts by just pressing the green button:woot:
