Talked to XS and Thrust today. My BPIPE, waterbox and preprogrammed EPIC has shipped today. Motor should be shipping tomorrow. Tomorrow I also have to stop by the yamaha dealer and pickup the last of the backordered OE hardware. Real build should be starting end of next week!

i didnt read the whole thread but unless this is a flatwater build id lose the trim...side to side throw is wayyyy more important than up and down and that trim in particular dosnt give u much steering throw...

Its about a 70/30 flat:surf ratio build. I would only ride surf 100% if I had my choice, but I have a killer salt water river litteraly in my backyard. That because of sheer convienince I ride @ alot. I have run this trim already on my lightweight X2 and it has insane steering throw (more so then my current RN with stock steering nozzle), but that was with a kawi steering cable. The NJ crew now has a few different FS2's to test ride mine against, and if I feel the steering is not up to par once its on believe me... I will throw a different nozzle on. Trim does make flat water ALOT more fun, so if it will turn just as good I will keep it. I do appreciate your feedback though Andrew, and I will keep the steering throw in mind when setting it up. Thanks!

ummm yea...have u ridden a ski with that trim on it???...well i have, and it literally offers so little steering throw that it renders a ski nearly unrideable in the surf...but being the expert ski rider you are im sure u already knew that....when someone that knows what they are talking about offers me advise, i take it....when i got into jetskis i was lucky enough to get advise/learn from some really good riders with allot of ski experiece...it really helped me progress as a rider and taught me how to setup/work on skis...ive noticed that so many people that ride skis are know-it-alls and wont take advise from anyone and thats the reason they still suck at riding 5years later...and you guys wonder why nobody posts anything on here anymore...

he might want to ditch the XScream motor and the Rickter hull too...

Nice build Shawn.

right on...i hope it works out for you...taylor had one on his 08 sj and it was really terrible.....im sure you could also mod it for more throw...

i forget what brand trim taylor has on his xfs but that one seems to have allot more throw than the old wammer one...nice ski btw im sure u will have fun with that thing

maybe it was an older model...this was 3 years ago..and i dont think any trim system offers as much throw as a modded stock setup so maybe it just felt really bad in comparison...but he took it off after one ride it was so bad.

You are gonna love this thing, I was blown away by how nimble cuongs felt and the smooth power, it would launch me crazy without even trying. Coming off my rn it took a bit of getting use to how short it felt, but easy to get use to, should have gone ahead and rolled it, but footholds were not adjusted quite right for my foot. (did one earlier in the day on my rn)
