none of it bothers me personally, but we are trying to gow the sport correct. if you think that i am whining about this being a clique you are soo wrong. I ride when i can and continually trying to get more people riding stand ups. do i care if any of you like me, no. the people that i have meet on the boards are all really good people in person you might not know that if you did not meet them in person and only read some of the stuff they write. why not be that way on the forums. if your not a jerk in person then why do some people have act that way on the forums. be yourself all the time. i am trying to do what i can to help and point out problems that can be resolved. just because you have a bad attitude does not mean you cannot answer a question to help out a fellow rider. attitude should not have anything to do with answering questions.

just read what bk wrote and he is right on. there are cliques just like bk posted you can be curtious and answer questions that are not coming from people in your clique. the freerides are to help the groups/cliques come together and be one as a group. just because you are new you should not be segregated until someone can get to know you and be in a clique. we are all here for the same reason. to grow the sport and help out when and where we can.

Not a thing wrong with clique's I know what it looks like to new visitors though.

That is the impression they get from this site they see it just like Wayne does.

I answer pms abut stuff on PWCT all the time,I help out if I can.I got one this morning about water line routing on a js 300 Kerker pipe.I happen to have a 300 Kerker pipe and I am happy to help him with his problem. There are as always at least two ways to respond to a question like this. One way would be to stop what I am doing ,go check out the routing and post him an answer, the other way would be to tell him its junk,he is wasting his time fooling with it and to just get a Superjet.I chose the first approach ,I have seen the latter approach used way too many times. There is one thing that you learn quickly about dealing with people when you are in a service type business. If they are coming to you it is usually because they have a problem already. What you don't want to do is give them another problem having to deal with you,I think the same concept may apply here to anyone who posts on here looking for help on their PWC.

BAM. solid.

i'm out of this thread. i've said my piece and i agree with alot being said.

anyone who thinks this site is crap or this sport is crap or it shouldn't grow, or it can't grow, or whatever bla bla bla, didn't get a plate of what Daytona was cooking at this year's freeride.

thank you saki.

just saw your edit and wanted to add i couldnt agree more.. i know i go out of my way to invite new guys to ride with our crew whenever i get the chance.. jsut recently i know ive reached out to guys like Boris, Felix5oh, and Fl-Cracker just to name a few whenever we're having a ride... at our rides i try to go out of my to make sure they're comfortable/feel welcome, ..etc.

me and fred'o have been pm'ing over on pwctoday so i can make sure when he comes down from france, he gets to ride with some of the best riders on the east coast of the U.S. baby!

that's the way i work it. and you can axe sumbody! :Banane01:

you guys let me ride with you and look at me

I am fairly new on here and have felt completely welcomed. I even ride a couch and have felt like I knew everyone for years when I have gone to the couple of rides I have been too. :arms:

My opinion is that anyone who gets their feelings hurt or feels unwelcomed because of the "clique" impression simply needs to make a little more effort to post and let people "see" them. Thicker skin helps too....it seems like feathers get ruffled awfully easy around here. A sense of humor is a wonderful thing!!!:Banane01:

I personally want to thank everyone for introducing me to this sport/hobby/obsession. You guys have already got me looking at getting a stand-up and I haven't even tried riding one yet. To all of the Mods...thank you for keeping this site going and trying to make it the best you can!! :hail:

True.

Dre was the first guy to invite me into this group and made me feel very welcome.

Saki, Slutty and the rest of the FL crew were so nice to me and even told me what i should buy and what to practice with.

FL-cracker, by local buddy, also shows me how to do some tricks and Slutty tought me how to handle the surf.

Thanks for all for making me feel welcome. I got alot of practicing to do.
Rock on.

i have noticed that noobs start a tread asking a question and it will go unanswered. they will post the same question on pwct and people from here will answer it over there but not here.
The noobs should not ask stupid questions!

this is not about people getting their feeling hurt it is about making every one, especially new people to the site, feel welcome. everyone should feel welcome at every pwc site. this is the first step to growing as a sport.

With all due respect BK I must disagree with you.

I got my first standup right around the time this site was starting up.
I joined and started reading all the posts I could and I must admit that I was afraid to post a question.
Everyone seamed to know so much that I didn't want to waste their time with my noob stuff.
When I finally did ask a question not only did I get an answer but I was also invited to come over to Sebastian to ride with the surf sluts.
You have no idea how cool that was and the invitation came from the forum members.

That right there was a sign that I wanted to be at this place and hang around with people who treat others this way.

Everyone has bad days from time to time but all in all I think this group is awesome.

Rant over.

I guess now you all know that you have Saki to thank for me being here.

not saying that every person here puts off a bad attitude, just a generalized statement............

"People say we are snobish over here" That would be a over view of the site as a whole............ which we know is not the case..........

But like you, some come and may feal intimitdated, my point being I/we dont want them to feel that way......... but if your preconcieved on our attitudes, what is to prevent someone from just leaving without ever asking???

you actually proved my point where you said you were afraid to ask a question but when you did you got tons of help........ That is what this site is suppose to be about..........

Afraid might be the wrong word, I didn't want to look like a fool or waste peoples time. I know what the search function is for so I used it.

Yes, this group was somewhat intimidating at first. Not in a bad (will kick your a$$) way but rather by how knowledgeable everyone was.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that as a noob I tried to edumicate my self using the "search feature" as I was sure that what ever dumb question I had these guys already beat it to death.
