Been a year since 24/7 was bought out, has anybody recieved a conversion hood that they have ordered yet? How about SR71 hoods, I know of 2 in England that were ordered and never recieved.

Seems like most of the people who build parts motors hulls for this hobby are like used car sales men or worse.

I would like to ride a ski with the conversion hood. I think it would be more of a novelty that a real feasable mod. I think it would take the challenge out of a stand up... isn't that why we ride them

i've ridden tim's. it is just as challenging and a blast to ride. definately doesn't feel easier to ride at all. i wouldn't call either one better, just different. the fixed steering is cool as hell just as riding with a pole is cool as hell. if you have the fixed steering, you can always switch back and forth. nothing is permanent. that's the coolest part. it still totally has the feel of a stand up. i want one!!

I want one either for an SXR or an SJ!!!

I like how you could go back and forth. A pole chamge wouldn't take that long.

I am interested in who is making the steering systems for them. I have used UMI and Acusteers on my X2's and they always end up with seized rusted bearings...

Chris Maro's had his own system designed and built, not sure if he outsourced it or not.........

I dont expect to see the new 24/7 producing these........... I could be wrong.

That's the bearings. The bearings from UMI are absolute junk. Try to find a local bearing shop and buy all stainless bearings and be sure to keep them greased and you should be fine. I would still plan on replacing the bearings once a year especially if you ride in saltwater.
