nick,is it just the angle or are they much smaller than the 1s .........One of the guys that rides st aug had them on his sj,they looked much bigger from the sides,It rode VERY stable, just took a little more lean to get it to turn sharp, nice feeling I think.

the 2's have another strake and are wider than the 1's by a good amount.
The way I mounted them probably makes blend in better to the rest of the hull.

ok.... done w/ everything except paint work...

I rode the ski this weekend at Lake Tarpon.... All I can say is... WOW!!!! What a difference the Tubbie 2's make on my ski... it was grippy around corners and just felt really really good all around... I guess I understand why so many people have decided to use them... Great work Blowsion...

It was so fun, I'm setting up a bouy course on the Halifax about a 1/2 mile from the house and will be training out there during the flat season... I will also be working on flatwater rolls and 50/50 combos... I got to have a trick before i get to Lanier

Tubby 2's are the same width as the Tubby 1's. The only difference is the concave lower edge.

yeah, i talked to paul. the amount of time to install em at an hourly rate = $$$$. haha. that was motivation enough to do em myself. i might get em on for lanier, but glass them after. i never knew how much was involved in installing these. i assumed they were a quick glue and screw job.

did you remove your pipe to install em?

I did remove the chamber, and used a chisel to cut the ends of the screws off the inside... be careful to not screw into batt, pipe, exhaust hose ect...

let me know if you need any other tips... I can give you my number and we can talk over the phone if that would help you...

My screws would have hit my bat, pipe, and motor mounts had the hull not been empty. The only part i would use 5200 on is the screws to keep the foam in the tubbies from getting soaked. After you cut the screws off i would dab some filler on the ends of the screws because the smc breaks appart a lil. When screwing them down I would hand tighten them to make sure they don't strip out the smc. An extra set of hands would be usefull when drilling and screwing them in to keep the holes lined up.

I didn't drill, just screwed them in... I wanted full penetration

thanks a lot man. i'm gonna pull the pipe, tank, and battery out to do em up. i'm just gonna use either epoxy or 5200 to glue em on (not sure which yet... i'll prob go with epoxy) and smooth them in with 5200. hopefully that will last me this season. over the winter it's getting painted so i'll glass them in then. i still doubt i'll have the time to do em before lanier though.

i'm sure i'll hit you up with some questions before i do em. thanks for the offer.

ice- they're goin on the sj. sxr might even get sold depending on how much i like the tubbies on the sj. sxr is staying stock. next on the list is a complete makeover of the blaster (paint, seat cover, turf, etc) once the sj is done.

I'm putting a set on now (using 5200, then blend with epoxy/filler)... Will post pic's...
Anybody know if it's better to mount them even with bottom of hull or higher up? What would the difference be?
The instructions show mounting on an FX-1....
(Note To Blowsion: Superjet pics and dimensions would have been nice guys.....)
Skysurfer, Are you from Limerick??

Superjet dimensions ARE on the instructions. They show Kawi's, SJ's, and FX-1's. The instructions should be 2 or 3 pages long.
