I've found the easiest way to do the II's is with a about 4 people. Basically, you get them to where you want them with all 4 people pushing down so the sponson is pushed right into the hull. With 4 people pushing along the sponson, it has the effect of having them installed and stretching out like they would with the screws installed.
Once they are in place, use a marker to outline. Rough up the area within the marker nicely, drill the holes in your sponsons, and hit it with your adhesive. Then, get your mates to again hold it in place, using the outline as a guide, and go along and install the screws.
By doing it this way, you don't have the force of the sponson wanting to straighten itself pulling against the hull that may cause the screws to pull back out/strip.
My mates and I have done a few sets like this, and it is by far the most accurate and least painfull way to do it. Get it right the first time.
Another tip to budding tubbie installers is that the natural molded curve on the tubbie I's make them much easier to install. The II's are somewhat straight, and need bending around the hull to install.
Big props go to Charles (crammit442) for giving me the hot tips when I was in the installation stage!
