Wed evening at 7pm-72 degrees at the park-pleasant to say the least.
If everyone goes to the rear of the park-look for cabins#1 thru #6 and
pavilion#2 there is a dirt trail between the pavilion and the cabins-follow it STRAIGHT to the water-there is approx 1/2 mile of solid shoreline that would
be safe to launch from and not get stuck-talked to the park manager that lives on the premises-asked bout launching from bank-he said 1 st car or truck he has to bring tractor down to pull out of the lake and we will all be asked to leave by the Cullman County Sherrifs Dept!!! PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE IF U LAUNCH FROM BANK!!! The boat patrol is all on the TN river in Decatur-so that should be no issue. There is NO CHARGE to get into the park-
suggestion-we all know the poor bastards work for the county and don't make any money-if everyone were to give them a 5.00 tip w/they come thru the gate-they would probaly help us instead of being a pain in the azz.///Just a thought-use your own judgement.

sounds good. if someone's worried about getting stuck I've got a jeep and I'll be more than happy to put anyone's ski's in for em. hell you can use the jeep yourself if you want.

I know I asked this a while ago, but does anyone have an address I can mapquest. preferably an address as close to the launch site as possible. thanks.

From I-65 North-take exit 304(Cullman/Goodhope) and go right towards Goodhope

From I-65 South-take exit 304(Cullman/Goodhope) and go LEFT towards Goodhope

After approx 4 miles you will see Pure Country-gas station/store and then Valley Grove
gas station/store on your right-

take the next right after the 2nd store(Valley Grove Grocery) and go approx 2 miles-on your left you will see a boat storage place and the only road to your left-GO LEFT

after the top of the hill you will follow the 90 deg turn in road and go bout 100yds-park entrance is on your right. Any probs-feel free to call me-256-339-7338
