Small pin 750 w/ a single Mikuni 44 and a Coffman's 750 rocket pipe. It's all in the first page of this thread.

It won't break any speed records but I'm sure it will be loads better than the stock 650.

I was too lazy too look back.

I ran a big pin 750 in mine and it pulled fine. I'd put myself and 2 kids on it and we'd run low 30's. With stock exhaust and flow control valve to dry it out.

Turfing of the cockpit finally finished. Made the templates for the big pieces out of the stock pads and some poster board (thanks for the help, David - dude in the pic). The side panels templates were the worst, took multiple attempts with different materials to no avail. Finally got some I was happy with. Couldn't have done it without my wife's help. She doesn't realize how much help a third hand is. Pics below show the progress.

Awesome work. I'm going to have to drive up and see it in person someday

We'll meet soon, I haven't made any free rides lately due to the recent house purchase. Next year I'll be making as many as I can with the superjet and chicken.

Nice work! My superchicken was stripped completely down for rebuild almost a year ago. We just completed a move from AZ to Portland OR and I hauled the hull and all parts with me. I could not let it go! I need to get back on this and get it finished.

Thanks! I had to do the same thing with mine. I bought a house back in June and luckily the timing worked out that I was able to drop the chicken hull off at the painter during the move. The pictures in this thread show two different garages. I still had to move all the other components for the build. It's going to be fun having to sort through all my stuff to find the parts to put it back together with.

I did a pretty good job bagging and labeling everything. I agree, it is going to be fun figuring out where everything goes. Good luck with the build. I will be following this and thanks for the renewed motivation to get mine going again. I need to build a stand first since I got rid if my ski stands in AZ

what are your plans with the plastic seat? I have a pink one and am trying to figure out if I can paint it and have it hold up.
I was planning on washing it really well and then painting it with a plastic specific outdoor paint like Krylon fusion. I picked up some stuff at Lowe's the other day that was the same stuff but a different brand. Looking at the instructions for both, they say that maximum durability takes up to a week. So I plan to paint the seat and let it sit untouched for that long. Hopefully it holds up...

Plastic paint holds up well. I washed mine SC seat with soap/water and a final rub with rubbing alcohol then 3 coats of black krylon plastic spray.

Been a long time since an update. Life has gotten in the way but I've been making slow progress here and there. Sand blasted and painted some parts, ordered and installed some bling. Also installed some new weather stripping for the seal that goes under the seat.
