So I was reading up about the Coffman's 750ss rocket pipe on multiple threads. Turns out (like any aftermarket exhaust, duh) they're very sensitive to head pipe and chamber alignment. If the head pipe and chamber aren't aligned damn near perfect you'll burn out couplers, fast. I don't want to deal with exhaust goo all over my pretty engine bay and it turns out the stock chamber brackets didn't have enough adjustment! Here's what the alignment looked like with the stock brackets as far forward as possible:

I looked long and hard at the stock brackets and there's no good way to modify them to get any more forward travel. I need at least 10 more millimeters. So, I measured the stock brackets and then went to the quickest, easiest supplier for stuff to make my own new brackets , McMaster Carr. Ordered some 6061 aluminum stock in dimensions closest to the original brackets. 1.375" square stock, 6" long was as close as I could get (stock was like 1.34" tall, I doubt 30 thou will matter).

After some careful measuring and marking, plus a center punch, I chucked the aluminum stock up in the drill press.

I only got one side done tonight. I'll get the other side done tomorrow and then lightly polish the pieces and break the sharp edges. Not to shabby for a drill press and some calipers.

Forgive my lack of updates. Been out of town, then my hand was out of commission for a week and now leaving town for another week for work. But, I did get my exhaust brackets finished up and the pipe now aligns properly.

Also got the fuel tank strap clips figured out.

Deutsch connectors came in. Ebox sorted out and electrical planned and almost done. Ebox sand blasted and now paint is drying. Coil wires replaced. Should have more updates tomorrow.

Ebox going back together. New starter relay, new plastic fittings, bilge and bilge switch wires will be going through the existing fittings left over from the heat sensor and gauge pod. Going with deutsch plugs right beyond the ebox. Like my superjet, I'll be able to pull the whole ebox for maintenance by just unplugging everything and taking the starter wire off.

I'm surprised you didn't go for the new ADA blue anodized billet fittings.

I looked at it, but couldn't justify the cost. I got five new ones for less than $20. I've got enough billet on her already (can't believe I'm saying this).
