Super Jet SN build, Rocker, Chopped rear, this website made me do it!

IMG_1395.JPG IMG_1396.JPG IMG_1406.JPG IMG_1408.JPG IMG_1409.JPG IMG_1411.JPG Filled in some high/low spots, hour sanding and here is where I'm at. Going to put 2 layers of glass overtop on the outside f the hood, flip over smooth out anything that needs it on the inside and add a layer of glass, then fill up any holes I don't need. Hood is getting there finally. I thought it would be real quick, probably be around 100 hours +/- a few

IMG_1449.JPG IMG_1451.JPG IMG_1452.JPG Final glass on the outside of the hood is done!!! Just need to sand and prep the outside of it for paint, still one more glass session on the inside of the hood to do. Tonight I did just a little bit of fixing some small high/ low spots in the tray. She's still coming along slowly.

IMG_1912.JPG IMG_1882.JPG IMG_1869.JPG IMG_1865.JPG IMG_1860.JPG IMG_1858.JPG Still slowly working on the ski when I have time. Got some more work on the tray done, still more to go. Shaped it up a bit better. Thickened up the edges where the tray is lowered tonight. Got a few me goodies. Have not posted much lately cause any work I do is not really going to look different really till I'm ready for paint. Also filled some old bilge and cooking holes in.

Looks like you're almost ready for some paint! Better grab a 5mil wetsuit cause there's lots of summer left. Looking good!
What did the stock hull weigh?

It is getting closer but still has some work yet. I only get short periods of time to work on it so it's slow. Hull weighed 120.6 lbs and was wet. But it's also 10" shorter than a stock ski now too.

IMG_2429.JPG I have not forgot about this ski or this build thread, life has been real busy the last 10 weeks. I lost my last two grandparents, went on my yearly vacation, which was cut short for a funeral, and have just been busy in general with life, wife, kid, works, etc... I guess last years winter project is this years winter project as well.

Man if I need to drop a couple pounds on my ski I'd just go for a run! Lol but I just read this whole thread today and it looks sweet, looking forward to the final results! Keep at it man it looks like a quality build!!!

Big step forward tonight!! I just payed down the last structural glass in the tray. It will still need final sanding and probably a little filler here and there for make all surfaces perfectly flat and smooth but that goes quick. So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
