Put some Paddles on that thing and hit the Dunes! Braaap!
no dunes or sand even remotely close to me or i probably would. its a great street cruiser and no problem to hit the back roads and woods so far.Put some Paddles on that thing and hit the Dunes! Braaap!
You doing your cylinders yourself or sending them off?Buying an xmetal pole for my squarenose and trying to figure out a way to run a pole spring on it, porting my cylinders, 62t cases maybe, new bars, steering.. Maybe some more stuff.. Later money!

I getcha! You're going with someone else that's more local than PHP even?Someone local does some magic I don't have a clue about port angles and such. I'd f it up, so I don't mind spending the money for that.

I'm hopefully going through PHP.
im going through php. he is going to have a sexy new buil next year thanks to us
We'll have to compareWay local! If I can get him to.. He works for who he wants and his way or the highway. Our motors will be similar if you go through PHP but I'm going to be running dual 44's.
We'll have to compare
Haha for sure. But your porting is gonna be more midrange based then?I mean that sounds fine to me, but our skis are really starting to become quite different.. Handling-wise, at least. My ski has certain recreational boat characteristics so I can still race her around buoys.. So basically nothing you would consider doing with your boat, lol.

I did realize how fun shredding and high speed runs can be though..When I was tuning my b pipe there was a time that the powerband absolutely ripped up top and I rode it like that for over an hour because it was so fun..lol. Now it's back to low end/midrange pull
Yeah our skis are definitely different. I've got a -5 pole with over a -2 steering setup, flush cut d cut rideplate, etc. Plus it's gonna be shortened 4 inches and have some tom21 sponsons this season though. I just wanna get it into the surf.
How is your ignition/compression/pump setup going to be?Like I said, there won't be a huge difference in the porting between the two of us. Yeah man keep it stock and turn it into a carver. Midrange pull is what you want anyway, low end doesn't last long in the powerband.
Yeah our skis are very different. I do have shortened steering and such, though.

I talked to Zack for over a half an hour today about stuff. I do love to rip it around, but I am going to go a little more of the freestyle/freeride route. First I've gotta verify my stock timing with a timing light, but I'm going to advance the static timing 2mm, lighten the flywheel, switch to 33 cc domes(Confirmed with Zack that bumping up the compression will very much compliment the porting), bore out my nozzle to 85mm and still continue to use a stubby cone, and probably run 50/50 110 oct race gas to 93 oct pump gas. Race gas is available right where I get my gas and it's a little over 6$ a gallon so it's not that expensive to run it. I already run 1 gallon of it per every 4..So 3-4$ than I spend right now more a tank should be worth it! Just hope I've got one of the lucky SBT cranks so it gets me through next season. Now I have a constant craving for more power and am not so worried about my motor lasting 200+ hours without something needing to be rebuilt.
Powerwise, my ski will have a much different feel than yours if you're going a different route, but yours will probably pull harder up top though.
Well I knew going from 150-180 would make a huge difference like it did, but I wasn't sure if another 20 psi would be worth it. But I guess it will be especially after porting. Yeah let's hopeWere you actually skeptical that a lot of compression would increase power before you spoke with Zack? Anyway, your motor will be way ahead of mine then. Not running race gas. Yeah you better hope that crank doesn't let go.
