This is my last question for a while, I promise!! I will not push back on any recommendations either!

First Question related to pic # 1

I removed my enging yesterday and discovered a major problem! The plate my motor mounts connect too is coming loose. I marked with red where it has started to seperate from the haul!

What can I slop on there to fix this issue?? Fiber glass, Marine epoxy, JB weld ???

Second Question related to pic # 2

After removing my gas tank I noticed there is a Blue hose behind it. It has a clamp on the end but was not clamped onto anything nor can I see where it should go?? It just runs straight up into the hand pole and does not come out the top by the handle bar?? Any Ideas

Third Question related to pic # 3

Has anyone used MSD spark plug wires before?? Any problems with them? I am asking because it seems like my Moroso Blue Max wires are made out of the same material inside. It is not actual wire but rather a soft black thing with some sort of fiber running through the middle!!

Any help much appreciated!!

1. I would probably grind off as much of that glue as possible and lay a piece of glass over the whole section and overlap it onto the hull. I am no glass expert, so maybe someone will give you a better idea.

2. Looks like your battery vent, pull it out and throw it away....or you could connect it to your battery if you'd like

3. I think that's a carbon type wire like what comes on the MSD coils; most say those wires are junk and not even as good as OEM. They break apart easily.

Dammit, I was affraid someone was going to say that about the wire! looks like I may not be splicing my the wires myself after all.

Anyone have John at Jetskisolutions.com service their coil with new wires for $65? Does it hold up as promised.

Thanks

Does the Kawi coil come with the connectors and boots attached or do you have to buy those seperate??

Separately.
You'd need the terminals and boots.
But you'll end up with a much better product than that piece of poop OEM Yamaha coil. Ever seen how they attach their terminals?

Matt E - You have taken apart the Yamaha and Kawasaki coil and discovered that the Kawasaki coil is far better quality??

The coils are identical. I think Matt is referring to how the Yamaha terminals are attached with that little hook gimmick.

Yes, it holds up. I've going on my third season. The trick covering that someone spoke of is a braided loom. Take a good look at your coil wires and notice how they get dents and cuts from touching parts of your motor as it vibrates. This will ultimately lead to arcing. This loom prevents that. Well worth $65.00 IMO.
