Mckenny is an awsome campground and where me and the family camp at. Like paul said it is literly right across the channel. I was about to post about it untill I saw pauls post. There is also Clarks creek campground a very short ride away maybe 3/4 of a mile on the water. Also for the people that are hoteling it, access can be had at Tanyard creek, block house, clarks creek, and of corse Allatoona landing. This could be good info to have because the ramps do fill up and these are ramps that can almost be seen from the ride area.

Yes, But Allatoona Landing has a gate code, so you can come & go as you pleasse. Also there is parking outside the gate, so even if you did get locked out you can still come & go.

Almost all the corp campgrounds are remote & have no parking outside the gate. you could find your car towed by morning

If you do find yourself in a corp campground, don't worry, everything is close enough, someone will be willing to come get you.

Knowing where the other ramps are is a great Idea! It will make access much easier.

This weekend, I'll also make arrangements with some area hotels/motels
for the non camping sector

I am SURE that someone will have a Boat Shuttle that will bring people over for the nighttime activities (dinner and raffle). During the Day you can ride skis back and forth...The activities have to be over by 10pm anyway... It'll all work out fine! The lake is huge and people will be riding everywhere.

BTW... :hail: All you are jealous of my badass site P28!! HAHAHHAHAHA:hail:

Also just because they lock the gates dosn't mean that you cant come and go from the water. That is being you were on a boat :sneaky: Also If you were thinking about swimming the channel its not a good Idea. this is a funnel area on the lake and thier are large cruisers so it would not be advised

Well ********, i booked my waterfront campsite last night online, and just read this when i got home like 10 minutes ago that i need to call to reserve a waterfront one..Is there any left? Or am i out of luck?:bs2:

Since you booked it last nite, you are garenteed a site, but it's probably not on the water. But don't worry, everything is super close, it really doesn't matter

I'm coming, looks like Im booking at Mckinney, I now have 5 in my party (I think).

If you really want, I'll let you know what site I get when I book. I'll bring some homemade swedish meatballs and a grill :smile:
