Super Jet squarenose- lowered hood, nose job, widened tray, 701 swap

Just wondering about how much you think you've spent on material to do the hood, nose, tray, footholds, ect..? Thanks
Great job on the ski btw, looks awesome!!

I'm pretty sure my materials shipped to my door from us composites was around $450. i will still have extra materials when I'm done with the reinforcement also so i guess i could have saved a little money but i would rather have extra supplies than not enough!

thanks for all the compliments though guys! I'm back from vacation so i should be getting everything finished up here pretty soon. within the next few weeks i hope!

Ok so after a month of slacking terribly and trying to get the same enjoyment out of riding my couch, I cleaned out the garage and will resume work on my ski this week. I just need to reinforce the inside and then I can start on the bodywork! New goal is to get it in the water by labor day weekend or the weekend after at the very latest.

If you are thinking of molding that hood, i would be interested.

yeah idk about that at the moment. it will have to depend on how busy i am this winter i guess lol. its possible but wouldnt happen any time soon. i appreciate the fact that you like it enough to want one though!

Well, after months of slacking on this thing, building has finally resumed! This weekend I was able to glass the liner into my hood, fix some air pockets that I ground out of the gunwales, and prep the engine compartment for reinforcement. I actually have the 1708 cut and ready to glass in for the reinforcement. I'm hoping to get that done sometime this week. I also hope to start fabrication on a chin pad sometime soon. This ski will be ridden this season! I'm finally motivated again (thanks to matty j and tokarzl).

Finally got it reinforced (thanks for all the help, Luke). Now I'm pretty much done with fiberglassing. Now I can look forward to the hours upon hours of body work coming my way.

This ski looks killer! I have to get on my square really soon to ride this season. Im sure you have been doing your research but if you need advice on body fillers, putty, sand papers, primers amd sealers let me know! I do auto body for a living and have used most all major brands amd cheap brands of materials. After next week of moving into my new house its game on for my sn! Keep up the great work!
