Matt, Thanks. It really sucks. First time that I have not a had a ski in 27 years.

Ill hit up everyone I know. It might be a good thing that you made it look exactly like an SXR....because it will be easy to spot and sxr for sale that is really an envy hull.

This is one of the main reasons I have been thinking about going enclosed. I've got so much moolah in my skis that I can hardly sleep knowing they are open to the public. Chains will keep honest people away... But if they want it, they want it

That is true. I had a pair of skis stolen back in 98. The thief cut two locks to get them. It is probably best to keep them outta site when possible.

I think theives also target enclosed trailers just for the trailer. Probably better than sitting in sight though.

My buddy had his Ford 350 ripped off right in front of his house last week.. It had his Yamaha jet boat attached!

I had a Tagg Pet Tracker for my dog when she was a puppy. Waterpoof (terminals will corrode some in salt water). It's wifi based so it only works in areas with good coverage. It also tracks slow so it doesn't tack like GPS. However, it lasts days to weeks within the area of the base station, send text notifications when taken out of the home wifi zone, and is trackable via an app tied to google maps with 30 second location updates based on nearest address.

Service was about $80 per year. I only stopped using it because she was rough housing with my parents dog, it came off, and subsequently got chewed up. She's yard trained and listens pretty well now so I didn't bother to replace it.

Edit: I forget why but I got it discounted in the Verizon showroom for $75 + tax. First 3 months of service was included.

Mount the thing 3rd over from the top right inside you ski up under the top deck by the pole. Then just click the tracker onto it. It will send a text when the battery gets low.

I received a tip that that a ski matching the description of mine was sighted at a convenience store close to the marina from where it was taken the morning after it was taken. The tip was specific about the time and vehicle description. I relayed this info the police but they don't seem to be very interested in going to look at the security video. I am going to do it myself.

Go as soon as you can, I can't speak for the convenience store in question but some places don't have lots of storage for video so they start recording over the previous stored data, some as early as the next day.
