Had you read this line, especially the part in parenthesis you would understand I was talking to you like a brother would. Tough Love. No Harm intended.

I dont not have the skill you do, sponsorship you do. You say you have not ridden because you dont have money for gas. Guess what buddy, I have not ridden since April because "I" smoked a piston and cannot afford to fix it, I tried with a used piston, no luck, apparently more damage to the bore than I thought (tried to get it running a week ago). I do not have a 25K Trinity Matrix with an XScream billet 823cc motor in it. I have Pat's, Then Derek's, Then Chick's clapped out 2000 model SJ Hull. It may get fixed this year, it may not.

Be greatful for what you do have and what is coming in a few months. You want to call me a cock sucking goat herder, do it to your hearts content.

pete...i was going to type this earlier but didnt..as far as bang for you buck or sponsor exposure for you $ i dont think competing in a contest on the other side of the country is really the most cost effective..with 60+ competing maybe 8-10 will get a shot in the mag...there will maybe be 3-400 spectators who can barley see your ski when your riding it...save your money for your kid..wait till the waves are good and shoot some photos to send to the mag...dosnt cost anything more than a tank of gas and 30,000 people see your ski and decals..best exposure for your $ in my opinion...it might be different for you but im not the most competitive person..contests are cool but you dont have to compete to get some good exposure for your sponsors..

Personally he needs to divert that energy to riding on go out west and show what Trinity and XScream have to offer to the guys out west.

If you donate your time and money out of the goodness of your heart then why keep score on who got what? If it comes with and iou then maybe people should know that before accepting your "help"

why do you care what anyone else thinks? ask for help and be gracious about taking it when given. this is not being gracious, I think you may be making your friends and sponsors embarrassed they helped you.

just stop acting like a big baby. we all have troubles. I hardly ride at all, I would love to ride more but bills and family are first. If that means I miss a good ride, oh well. the water isn't going anywhere. it will still be there when I am ready. it sucks but it hardly warrants begging for someone to pay my way (and my wife's) and then insult everyone who is TRYING TO BE HELPFULL when I can't.

I agree. Be thankfull for the oportunities you get, you have more than most. This is whiney bullsht, where you expecting to get rich off it? Step on some others on your way up and see where it leads. Why don't you sit on the curb and ask for handouts?

Sorry, but I don't care how much you bring to this sport, how much parts you try to make, going on a public forum and asking for money is just wrong.. I would love to go and compete too but I have priorities and sometimes that means the ski sits in the garage until I can afford the gas. There are just more and more threads on this board asking for a free hand out. Guess what-I am sure McDonald's is hiring for a second or third job. Do what you can to make it work. You have an awesome ski with awesome parts. If this sport is too much money for you than sell it and take up crocheting. You could probably get a mad sponsorship from Michael’s Crafts.
