Pete man relax, take the donated money and come alone. If you can swing bringing the wife that would be awesome. But you can't always have everything or do everything exactly the way you want. Otherwise we would all be riding some sweet ski's.
I'm not trying to be a a$$ at all. I was looking forward to meeting you and checking out your sweet ass ski and your killer riding skills! I can imagine you would make at least 75% of the people look like a monkey f'ing a football with your ski and riding skills.
I know this sport is awfully expensive for what it is. I have almost $10 k into my ski and it is nothing special. If you did come out do think X scream would send some parts with you to sell. I'm sure you could sell a few of those bad ass adjustable poles.

as far as i know, this is a hobby more so than a sport. Are there any riders that actually make a living out of riding? Not that I know of, even malone has to sell products to make a living. Missing an event like this is nothing really. I wouldnt sweat it, its only riding and after all, we only do this for fun, seems people are making it something different. For what reason I dont know, but I'd rather ride at a local spot with my wife and daughter on the beach and spend money on a vacation that everyone in my family would enjoy. Pete, your an incredible rider and a good person, dont sweat the small stuff, when your kid is born you will understand more. Until then remember, its just a hobby, there is no future in jetskiing as much as we would wish there was.

Kris, I have only met you in person once. I still remember walking out on the beach and hearing my name called. Do I know you well? no. Do I think you purposely punched Pete's buttons. No. You did call him out. That is my only issue.
As far as Charlie goes, he was just being the Charlie that we know and Love.
The main issue I have with this site is the fact that people constantly feel they need "Call Someone Out". There is no need for it. People feel that they are entitled to "Voice their opinion". Problem is many times it gets out of control. This is absolutely ridiculous. I even asked everybody to stay out after Pete started his rant towards me (I will get to that later). What happened next? Mark, Katie, Tom & Tom (one of them apologized, said he was posting at the same time as I did), SFL, Yamanube, and WILKEY all felt they needed to jump in and add their 2 cents (what is new). I asked twice and people kept it up. My wife had students (7th graders) that were more respectful. WILKEY was more or less defending Pete. But that does not make it right. I could just pop everybody with Infractions. (Charlie is laughing now) But honestly, I dont believe anymore that it would do any good. Maybe just ban all involved. That sure would be the easy solution.
In 2 days I have to take a Contractors License Exam in Louisiana for a job we are doing. I took a break and saw this crap taking place. I said to my self, "One of the Mods will take care of it"....... I was wrong. Chalk it up to we all are busy as hell with work and life. Then something made me make my post that if anything, inflamed Pete even more. I did not think it was nearly as bad as some of the others. I consider Pete a friend, almost like a brother at times. I gave him what I called Tough Love. Well, it backfired, he exploded, I knew he would either get it or do what he did.
Pete, I owe you an apology. When I think of Sponsorship I think of Racing and Competing.. Our sport has changed alot, People like Typhoontommy (SP) are changing this "Hobby", they are getting sponsorship for putting on shows. People like Pete are getting sponsorship for just Freeriding (Non Competing) and Helping other riders. I called him out on that aspect and for that I was wrong. Pete, accept my apology. I still say you need to go out there and show the left coast what the Right coast has to offer. I got about $20.00 in my paypal account if it will help any. (that is all I got right now towards Pistons, Rings and a Bore Job to get my ski going again).
