Seemed like an easier means of making it work.Turned out nice and not pricey either.

Someone started a thread on here about mating up a fat bar cold fusion turnplate and a xmetal adj pole. But as always l can't find poop!

But anyway,l decided to take the turnplate and the adj piece on the pole to a machine shop and have them drill it out to just under a tad the size of the nylon washers.Seems simple to do but can you guys think of a reason NOT too?

Would appreciate some opinions!

I thought cold fusion turnplate used oem bushings as well as the xmetal pole? I am working on installing my pole soon so advice would be helpful. Should i just go umi/blowsion?

Jetmaniac hooked me up with all the parts I needed for my xmetal pole and cold fusion turn plate. Except a bushing to keep the bottom bushing plate centered on the pole and with the crok collar. I made one out of another bushing and it took me about 5 minutes to size it.

Jay the way you did yours looks like the best way.l spent more on time and gas! Drilling the hole out in the stem worked well, but l will have to get a krok koller for mine. The threaded end will take the larger oem nut but the smaller nut only screws on about halfway before it stops.Well worth it cause the cf turn plate works great.

Hope that answers your question soldout!

Ok Freaks, need some help with a steering cable problem.

l installed an fx steering cable (as long as a SN) on my freak.Using a xmw adj pole.CF turnplate.Cable is (l hope) installed correctly with short rod at the pole and long rod at the pump.My problem is l have great turning to the left but none to the right.l mean bottomed out just past straight.

So wise ones, what the hell did l do wrong?

You're using an FX1 cable, that's your problem. The threaded rod ends are both shorter than a SJ cable. It won't work.

l did not know that Matt.lnteresting.l thought because l had the length of the cable it would all work out!

Thanks for the tip!

If you really wanted to, you could use it by putting extensions on both ends. However, the FX1/+08 SJ cables also have less throw than regular SJ cables.

l knew the 08 sj cables were like that but not the fx.The cable l have is from a 94 fx.

Looks like l need the help from Jetmaniac!
