My home away from home.
Most standups have 12.5" spacing. Ac scissor stands, hitch haulers, stand up trailer bunks etc... Standups like 2x4's standing upright, or something like 2" pipe to sit on. Pivoting angled bunks don't work too well on standups.

you will have more issue with the rocker built into these hulls than the width. mine only sits on a small portion of the overall length of the hull when on the bunk. but stock spacing width wise works great.

Ran into a snag putting my freak together last night... puzzled...

Midshaft (Stock SJ) is too long - perhaps Tem had mine setup for an early GP800/1200/1100 raider midshaft (122mm)??? Also the driveshaft (also stock SJ) sticks through the bulkhead so far that the splines bottom out and dont allow the midshaft housing to meet the bulkhead. Not sure if the shorter GP midshaft would correct both issues, but alas, I dont have one to try...

Left Tem a message, but havent heard back from him yet. Mine is one of the earliest badazz freaks, so I'm not sure how he set it up.

BTW, the snake freak looks great WAY TO GO Murph & Helen!

Hmmmmm you got me Neil.....not sure
When I first installed my midshaft I forgot to remove the locating pins and was stumped for a few minutes why my midshaft didn't want to bolt flush to the firewall. ......duh......

OK, I've talked to Tem and we both took some mesurements while on the phone. My midshaft will be OK. The driveshaft however will need to be addressed. I am going to reassemble my 140 setback Mag which should be about 1/4" shorter and see if it will work along with pressing my midshaft in further.

DISCLAIMER: Current and expecting Freak owners - DO NOT FREAK OUT - YOUR SKI IS/WILL BE FINE! Only the first couple like mine were setup this way - all current freaks are set for OEM shaft lengths. Tem had set this one up using a xscream/skat-trak Mag pump shaft that was a bit short. (this was common for some of Skat's Mag shafts). In fact I had one of the shorter shafts that stripped out due to poor spline engagement and I had jetmaniac rebuild it and lengthen it.... damn! Had I known this I would have kept it the same length and it would have been exactly what Tem had set this up for. grrrrr! :banghead:

Anyway, I am working on a short-term solution by some careful shimming of my pump bearings and moving my midshaft out as mentioned...
