Good luck with that, lol

Yeah Matt we are running xm pole bolts, crank um down to the pole has the right feel for you.

That's what I am used to over the past five years. I imagine that super light pole will make it easy.
Boy, I am getting excited. My stuff should be done by the end of this week!
Shipping transit time will be hell for me.
Realistically, I am at least another 5-7 weeks from having it on the water. I need to paint and do everything that goes with it, turf, assemble, and most importantly: get that homebuilt title & VIN issued.
All that may not sound like much, but I work full time, am a full time grad student, and have three little boys that need/deserve my attention. Mom's going to school, too, so that also takes time.

No, not by a long shot.
I sold my hull in the first week of September.
Since then, I've ridden twice. Last time was over six weeks ago, and that was a very short ride.
When I first got my Jetworks motor built, I didn't ride for about six months.

Matt...good deal on ETA for hull. Do what I did to save from my wife hating me...I'd work then come home and tackle the kids, school, dinner, betime stuff till 8pm and hammer away on the ski for like 2 hours/night...or later if you're a night owl. Then the only person hating will be you hating yourself for staying up late, but by the time you get back to it the next night you're pumped to get some more done.

That's my dance as well. It is a fine ballance. I also set up a table where the kids can paint, mess with clay, look at stagnat water with the microscope, erecter sets etc. It turns a build into quality time..... there are some interruptions ,it takes a little longer , but we have lots of fun in the shop.

Damn Matt, you are busy.

This is a post for Superfreak V 2.0. The newest version has the pole mount in what feels to me to be the best place that balances out the ski perfectly. The ones I rode at Daytona were super stable on flatwater. On my build I centered my pole bracket in the dead center of the area you can place a bracket. I was thinking of drilling the bracket area out in the farthest forward position to see if it helps place my CG with the ski's CG. You can get the back end loose real easy with my current setup. My apprehension is that placing the pole further forward will make the tail too easy to get loose. I'm running a -5 xmetal pole with a standard UMI turn plate. Might be too much with that length pole. The bracket area is atleast 3/8" thick...maybe 1/2" so I don't think the hull integrity will be hurt.
Chris, Lucas, and Tem...how far forward did you guys run your pole brackets?

Heh, it'll be an interesting build. Week nights are pretty much out.
5am - get up
4:45pm get home from work
5:15pm leave for school
7:30 - 9:30 get Home.

I'm thinking weekends, but usually those are for family & homework.

matt, make sure you just take your time with the build. these skis are very custom and you need to double check all bolts are the right size and other simple stuff. the most important thing i can tell you is just take your time and don't rush. you'll love the ski when it's all done :)

Hey Gregg,

I think the pole location on V 2 was + 3.5" vs the stock location.

Chad , the ride plate is new just tried it out first at the freeride and this weekend with some head high surf, Josh and Chris were ripping , will attempt to load a vid soon.
