Superjet - Project RS *Build Complete (for now)*

Save your time and money and buy an am hull lol! As much as I enjoyed learning the process and having something unique I could have bought a hull for a little more and been riding it for the last year lol.
I do agree with @Parsonsjb88

But I think it's not so bad if you have tons of time and no deadline! I set a deadline for myself (and then pushed it back multiple times), and that's the reason I'm "stressing out" about this build. Doesn't help that the weather's starting to get pretty nice and the lake's are warming up. But seriously, it's been a cool experience, and I learnt a lot stuff that I'll apply to other hobbies! Just way more time and effort than I expected.

Alright, I've been crazy busy (especially with a baby in the household now), but I'm still managing to move forward (just much slower than before). I also apologize for the lack of pictures (I keep forgetting to take them - which is completely unlike me).

I sorted through some wiring, cleaned out the inside of the e-box, and threw a sticker on it!

I started bolting stuff into the hull, to make sure I have no issues. Nothing special really under the hood, I just cleaned some stuff up. Got a Speedwerx girdled head from @Parsonsjb88 and a Coffman pipe from my wife's SN (I put the stock one into hers).

Then I masked off the engine bay and bottom hull, and started stripping the hull and smoothing stuff out....

Here's where the lack of pictures is noticeable. I laid down some visual 2x2 twill, did a bunch of blending, and eventually primed the hull.

**Insert a bunch of pics here** :p

After the upper hull was primed, I sprayed an outline for the carbon and masked it off.

Painted.

Pulled off the masking to see how it turned out...

And then sprayed some clear over everything!

Here are some close-ups.

Beware!!! It looks much better in the pictures, than it does in real life! It's far from perfect. But, I really have no idea how well the hull will hold up, and I may want to make changes after a season of riding. But overall, it's good enough for now and I'm happy with it. At this point, getting out on the water is more important than having a flawless ski.
