Are you not going to cut the rideplate area shorter as well? Why not just cut the whole rear area and redrill a ride plate to change the mounting locatons?

Why cut it and make it harder to do rideplates? I'm getting the same benefit and don't have to cut up rideplates down the road.

Yeah, yeah thats cool and all, but I want top deck pics!!
BTW, I shouldn't have come off that damn Turbomuff. I doubt I'll EVER get my hands on another one of those.
Atleast it went to one of my KY Surfriding Brothers.

At least that's a positive, oh and the money too, plus I'll forever speak highly of you.

Pics, of a top deck? hehe, patience grass-hoppa.

I was just putting a list together, check out the companies that are going to be represented on my ski once it's done:

24/7 (Maros) - chinpad, hood hooks, handlepole bracket, hood straps
Blowsion - turnplate
Wamilton's - rideplate, throttle, engine mounts
Pancakepete - front foothold
Watercraft Factory - hood, footholds
Highroller - top secret
undisclosed - top deck
Jetworks - flow control valve
LPW - 760 cylinder

No X-metal/Team Scream/Waterdawg/XFT at this point.

Looking good!
I cut about 3.5in off my spare hull and was going to cut down & reuse the orig pieces to glass it back together.
In this pic, how is this square shape you made going to transition with the chined bottom?

I also must have overlooked what kind of foam/flotation you're going with.

I'll just grind it to match the chine? I wanted to keep the rear rideplate inserts, so I have 3 sides to glass up instead of 2, so I made those 3 sided pieces to glass in then build up.

I was thinking that since you don't have the top deck yet, in addition to cutting 2in off the rear you could also move the top deck forward about 1.5-2in. Just take the front bumber area all the way out to the edge and shave the excess off the topdeck and the rear of the ski. I bet that would make it handle allot different.

I don't get off on being different, I make changes that I am pretty sure will work, and I know 2" will make it handle better.

I don't have the money or time to be a guinea pig.

2in closer to the nose is benificial for arial stuff. Look at the EME, FS-1, q8.....or even the FX-1.

We will see, I may do that on the x-jet

Move footholds 2" forward, shorten handlepole 2", voila, you've moved 2" forward without having to try to reattach a top deck 2" forward and deal with all the issues. My top deck allows the handlepole bracket to be moved like 2.5" forward compared to normal so I can move it as well to get the extra leverage.

If they're going to give me a deal I can't refuse on something I need, then sure thing, but based on my budget I don't see it happening.

The end caps are glassed in from the inside only one the edges. I have a lot more glassing to do on them both inside and outside, but they're in at least.

The steering relocation needs work, my 8.5oz twill didn't want to make the sharp angles I was trying to do so I'll have to grind things rounder/smoother.
