Custom/Hybrid Surfjetlouie memorial build

Not too sure how we're going to handle it yet. I'm sure there are rules governing an actual raffle. I better check. If possible I'd like to sell raffle tickets online and at 1 or 2 freerides where we can show off the ski before it goes to it's new home.

there are very strict laws governing raffles.... Read up on your state laws, cause you can get in some serious trouble. Raffles fall under lottery laws and they are very strict here in Fl.

The law states that you can NOT sell raffles tickets on any other day than the day of the raffle. I follow these rules very closely when doing my raffle. If I were you, I would build the ski and sell it outright on Ebay and give the earnings to Louis family.

Not sure what the motor options are yet. If I don't get a 701 we'll use the 650 parts and bore it to 701.
Thanks
Kurt

i can donate a two piece wammer head w/domes. no hardware though. if someone would donate the hardware, that would be awesome.

WOW! that's sweet Yamasaki. Thank you for the great head. ( can't believe I typed that!)

why did you write that? lol. oh boy.

anyways, i'm gonna mic the domes later tonight. i think i remember putting this head on one of my 760cyls, so, they might be 760+cc domes.

if they are, just the more reason to put a 760 top end on there for louies build, or someone can donate 701 domes if you prefer.

ill confirm later tonight after my fat march im going on in a minute...

and youre welcome.. for the head... :1zhelp:

i dont run puny 701s any more.

I have a bunch of parts i am going to ebay and then donate a good portion of the money to the build. I would offer them up for the build, but they are used and have no place on a nice build. (i am still sorting out my build)

Never met the guy but, Louie sent a throttle cable to the Makai for me in daytona last year. He wasn't able to make it but told me not to worry about payment till after the ride. You left an impact on a ton of people louie and you will be greatly missed!

Yeah, he was always doing things like that for fellow riders. Gotta love the guy.

it looks like the head bolt holes are countersunk so you can use stock bolts.

if the engine isnt going to be ported, theres no real reason for girdle studs.

Kurt,

I read through and I didn't see anything about a powerplant until this post.

DASA/Racer's Edge and I would be willing to assemble the motor parts you have, donate some of our own, or something like preping or porting the cylinder or whatever we can do to help out. Maybe something more with some discussion from you....

Let me know what we can do to help and I will make it happen.

In addition....

If we get a used-up crank or something that needs repairs, I will work on Phil at Crankworks to freshen it up.

Shoot me a call when you get a chance so we can dscuss where you are on the powerplant.

Alright Gentlemen, here goes the motor program.

I went through the shop and we found a cosmetic blemed stock stroke cast Lamey we will donate to the build. If you want it.

Right now it doesn't have PV's, depending on the timeframe, I can add them, but at any rate, it is ready to go like it is.
