LMAO at the cat with the bread on its head.

The 61x I had in this hull before is going back in it. Its a nice mill and will do nicely I think.

I really thought I would have time to work on stuff over the Christmas Holiday. But that couldn't be further from the truth unfortunately.

Everything in my shop is covered in a white fiberglass dust.

For working on glass, such as grinding the ribs and etc, I use these...

These are carbide tipped burrs with 1/4" shank that fit into my die grinder. I have 2 right now, one straight like the pic and the other tapered like a pine cone. I think I paid $40 for the straight one and $25 for the pine cone one. I used to use stone grinding bits, but they didn't cut well and they quickly lost their shape. These carbide burs are made for cutting metal, the ones with big teeth cut the glass no problem and last forever. I have been using my straight one for over a year now and it has seen some heavy use with no signs of wear. Do not use on the bulk head, it is made of plastic and will ruin the bit.

I also use 2" and 3" sanding discs with 40-180 grit twist lock pads. They work very well.

Lastly, for dust, I just hold my shop vac in front of the bit, and most of the dust is reduced.

I attached my shop vac to my DA. It helps a lot.

i have 3-4 of those burrs. They're the poop. I've used thin on metal WHEEEEEY more than glass and they still cut awesome.
The ones with larger teeth are made for aluminum.

Go to Lowes and get one of their yellow bags for your shop vac. They catch fine dust and wont plug like the standard filter. Your garage will stay 95% cleaner.

I was just in Texas and I figured I could stop by Swapmeet's place and get an update. I then realized that Texas was a decent sized place and I was probably nowhere near him, so I just kept going... Oh well, maybe next time...

Want an update?

Go outside with a beer, stare at your ski, doing nothing to it, walk away.

No need for a .gif. You just lived the progress he's reached.

oh wait...that was me...

It is winter, things do slow down around here...take the negative attitude and do something productive with it.

Here is a smile for you in case you need something to brighten your day...

I was kidding. Sheesh. I've been working on my build too and it's not moving much faster.

Your one stop shop for quality parts @highspeedind
I watch riding videos every time I feel progress slow down. It seems to give me more motivation to get things done. I watched a video yesterday and today I was laying glass and carbon. The motivational videos seem to work. Lol.

Patiently waiting for an update.

Know how busy things can get, I need to start rebuilding my X2. But, freelance business has kicked up the last couple months and making money is nicer than spending money.
