Agreed... 100%

I made it clear from my first post that I didn't ask enough questions and that I accept the consequences of that... mostly because I can make jokes as a result!

But seriously... Definitely a learning experience for me and hopefully others.

Upon further review, telling what's his face SJ 701 to eff himself wasn't called for. I try to post as if I was in front of someone talking to them, and I wouldn't say that. So I apologize for that part.

This "build" thread has been entertaing from the beginning. I would tell my wife " hey you gotta see jet ski kitty " and we would laugh together. Was it at Swapmeets financial expense? Yes. Has he really kinda takin it gracefully? I would say so. Did AAlamo stick him intentionally? Ah only he knows, did someone on here stick AAlamo intentionally, probably. Have we all been stuck by someone on here? Be honest, yes. So what, all done and the thread has been very entertaining to say the least. I would also think that Swapmeet's skill set has increased through the build and provided new guys with info on what to look for. Sucks for us guys that trust people, but so is life. Good thread overall and yes I login looking for updates, you've really polished up a turd there. If he ever does sell this hull full disclosure will be an understatement. Carry on, and we miss Jet Ski Kitty. P.S. I appreciate the kind words from the OP.

I wish there were more of this. I know in the heat of the moment you can come off sounding like a hardcore keyboard cowboy but to come back and say sorry takes brass.

I am thoroughly enjoying this thread, all 51 pages of it so far. I am looking forward to the final results when the hull is done, but I think I will be a little bummed that it actually finished.

Rare and brief weekend update for the really hull.

Had the opportunity to go to the hard ware store with my boy today. Hardware is most of what's holding me up on my holds.

More on that in a sec.

I wanted to clean up the area where all the phantom resin and glass (that nobody would ever notice...) had once resided.
I sanded it all down and laid down some 8oz weave.

Still confused why anyone would ever do that. I seriously expected to find some major damage or something under that mess..... Oh well.

So back to the holds.... just to review, RRP holds (the OG ones anyway) suck for space efficiency. After greatly appreciated help from Doś Tuerbo Mustang, I devised a plan to modify them so that they're better suited for a SJ.

I cut off the 'foot' from the mount, and then built up some layers of 17oz biax to fill in below it.

This varies somewhat from what Duel Terrbo did, but it will all make sense shortly.

Once the resin dries, ill flip it back over and get back on the tray.

Id like to thank my son for taking a nap so that this update could be possible.

I unstickied this thread, but I was just doing some site/thread maintenance. I happened to see a couple of stickied threads and figured they were accidentally done that way, so unstickied them.

To be honest though, I'm not sure why any build threads get stickied, everyone should have the same visibility for their build thread IMO.
