So all the .gifs I'd been setting aside for my happy dance upon getting the engine will have to be used later. Jetmaniacs fault.
I resurrected a thread about porting the exhaust mani and head pipe. I opened mine up from 42-ish mm to 48.5ish on both. The instructions on the BB reccomend 50-52mm... But I'm not sure I have the material to give. I'll post some pics later. I took enough to make a 'how to' thread. Problem is I don't know what I'm doing.
This engine is sexy as phuck....I'm serious. I want to do dirty things to it.
Ok... Unless someone has input on the exhaust porting... That's all I got until I get off the apple products and post pics.

I've spent the week on another project/hobby so not much to update. I got to a stopping point last night with that, and was able to work on the ski a little.
I sanded all the crinkle powdercoat off the headpipe and painted it to match the mani and chamber. I want to wetsand it and get it all chiney, but I see the door slowly closing on the riding season here, so i'm gonna take it easy on all the detail/ make it super pretty stuff and try to get it in, get it broke in.
Inbetween coats of paint on the head pipe I plugged away at pulling the 61x Group K motor out of my hull. That will 'trickle down' to my wifes SN.
Bought a used 10/16 Hooker from Dmpus since Impros is sold out. I also have a 9/15 Hooker, but Chris (Jetmaniac... duh) swears i'll boil it.
I would have more pics, but I use my phone as my music source in my shop.... and I really like my music. So... yeah...
I'll try to do better.

So what happens when you're putting a brand new engine in your whore of a ski?
You realize that you didn't buy enough parts... so you PM/Text/telegraph Jetmaniac and wait.
But what do you do while you wait? You know... as the days turn into weeks and the seasons coming to an end and you have this shiny Gawd Damn beast of a motor on your work bench and you haven't been to the lake in like 3 weeks..............
I'm fine... I'm totally fine...
See..... I told myself that I was gonna throw the engine in right away and worry about making it look good this winter. Just get it on the water... get it broken in. Enjoy it.
But since I had the down time last night.....

I've been dying to use it. It has a port for water injection... which might help. I have a spare Flow Control that I could stick on it.
If I mount it at an angle, with the outlet facing up... ish... it should stop water from backing into the engine... maybe...
Im running a Limited Chamber, so getting the couplers to fit IS going to be a challenge, this would make it easier. I guess if I 'just' want more brap, I have a TDR box in my wifes ski that I could swap out for a stock RN box that I have. I have a DG TriOval box to... but the bottom is weird.
So many choices.
