i normally dont say anything on here, partially because im afraid someone will disagree and want me burned at the stake lol. everything out there no matter what it is has a cheaper version of the same or similar thing, look at cars, refridgerators, power washers, lawn mowers, ect. i personally disagree making a inferior product and labeling it as an original. thats wrong, same thing with stand up jetskis, ill be honest ive helped make similar hulls, pipes, poles, heads ect, as originals. i never intended to make money off them, but seriously how much can you differentiate when trying to make your own, theres so many out there now its hard to not resemble another. and people making hulls out of there garage for quite a bit cheaper im all for that, being young and not having 20000 to spend to get a nice am hull, thats the only option. its a good place to start untill they can afford a real high quality ski. no matter how many people make skis theres still going to be people that cant justify/afford to spend that kind of money, and no matter how many people piss and moan its still going to happen. that is just the harsh reality. and no im not taking any sides in this never ending fight i just wanted to put my input in on the subject.

I fully support what blair is working towards to create a better hull and offer it to the community. Im willing to bet if the top deck was changed more before pictures were leaked there wouldnt be so much bickering. That or he just needs an established name in the industry to back him.

air blair

you are the reason
Right on guys. Im just a regular ol' joe trying to jetski myself. Im very abusive on my skis, just figured i couldnt afford to re buy a rickter over and over everytime i broke em. Shoot if i had alot of money, you wouldnt see me doing a hull period. So here i am whipping out a couple skis (not replicas) but directed based off one of the best imo. There are so many things on a rickter that are top notch that i just didnt want to change, to be honest i just loved the top deck other than the adjustable holds hogged up too much tray space and i wanted a bonding rail on nose. So i changed it up mainly for building ease and a little more tray control. One ride on my hull you'll know it doesn't ride like a rickter xfs, although its not that far off it based hull. I'm personally happy with the results and how it rides. Its now an all around boat, ready for what i put my skis through. I really am not trying to step on anybodys toes here by making a hull. The reason i changed it was half cause i didnt want rickters great product being confused with crappy clones that fall apart, at least my hull will be identified not as a rickter but an AIR BLAIR hull. Wait till you see the production hulls in peoples hands....especially people that can ride better than me and more money to put into a drivetrain. This hull will take monster engines and pumps no problem

And are you selling these now? I thought this was a learning experience and you were making something of your own?
