i have a good 650 top end if you want to buy it and bolt it on. cylinders, head, and both pistons. I am ripping a 650 motor apart for the crank.

Sorry dude I'm going 701 on this beast. Top end is good, just need a crank which should be easy to pickup. I have a complete low hour 650 I may get impatient and drop it in just or a weekend or two. My square is my reliable ride and always done me good. I'm going to build up the motor on this guy. I named the fx1 "aqua man" because my friend who has seen me get all the skis couldn't believe I got another one and said I'm aqua man.

Aqua man will get all the fx1 Tom 21 hull mods when I save the chips up, and then followed by a jetmaniac top end kit and aftermarket head I have. I'm going with the do it right do it once saying, and all the Tom 21 parts is not too pricy of an order to save up for. Ill be riding the ski sometime January most likely after some fiberglass help on the bottom and a good sand and paint. Probably will get the Tom 21 tubbies right after I pick up a new crank.

Great story.... Uncle BOB's are Awsome ! Two things every man should experance in his life are a good dog and a uncle Bob . I'm blessed to have had both. Good luck with the build.

Yea funny thing about uncle bob is he is actually my dads beat friend, been part o the family since before me or any of my brothers were born. Blood makes you related, loyalty and love makes you family!

Another note ill be pulling the contents from the inside of the hull tomorrow morning and getting ready to make some sweet progress!

You don't get the pick the family you were born into. You get to pick who you call Family. That was really cool of him. Why not name it "Uncle Bob?"

Haha I can wait to meet and ride with you as well haha I was riding with Jason once or twice a week. My work is making me push out the December Christmas season single handedly so I can't get a single day off to ride. My square is good to go now that I have a head with the exhaust mounts on the proper side haha don't even ask about it... Who knew some heads had the mounts on the wrong end of the head haha I know now. Have a twist head I want to run on the fx1 after I order the crank. I've been wanting to go ride so badly though haha it's only been like a week for me haha!

Got all my stuff to fit and should take only an hour before work to have it fully stripped down. And uncle bob, check. Good dog, check! My dog loves to jetski. Does it standing up too haha!

score! you are gonna love that fx1! If you are interested I have a good crank as well as a complete mint condition pump with skat swirl 19-24 prop which is about as good as it gets with the stock pump and actually hooks up pretty good! PM me if interested

I pulled the engine, water box and gas tank, the 3 screws with the massive Phillips head that mount the ebox to the tray are gnarly, and they will not budge. I will have to take it to get the flywheel and stator pulled by my friend at his shop. Then ill split the cases and pull the crank. The stand my uncle gave me is a perfect shop stand haha.

get an impact driver for the phillips screws holding the ebox in before they strip! Autozone rents a puller that works perfectly for pulling the flywheel if you want to do it yourself...

I like to work untill I get stuck in something than have someone with experience who's willing to help step in and tech me how it's done. Thanks for the edvice, didn't think of impact driver I tried a bit on a huge ratched and it wouldn't budge. Going to be getting the engine parts and then will have my friend guide me through re install. My first order of business will be letting Jason work some magic on the hull. I'm ready for any amount of sanding I have to do in order for Jason to make my hull like new again haha I want this thing solid because I intend to put some dough in this and progress my skill onto barrel rolls and such haha. I need to seperate the engine from this thing, so either ebox comes off or I pull the stator and flywheel to get to it them apart. I can't wait till after Christmas when I can save up to get these parts!

I have a mint solas 17/23 you can use till you do your pump swap. its just collecting dust in my shop. id be more the happy to lend it out. let me know. i'll be on vacation from Friday for 10 days out of the country so if I don't respond then that's why.

So with the help of J the bad crank is out ready to replace. He's filling in the small nicks underneath and then the 61x/61x from my superjet will go into the fx for me to ride.

The 61x from the fx1 is torn all the way down for the new crank and I got hooked up with a 760 cylinder and .5 over pistons, ill be able to get it bored and honed .5 over and eventually rock the 760 in the fx. I'm so stoked to get to ride this bad boy.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg So I put in the 61x/61x from my superjet after putting on a fresh stock 61x head with proper exhaust mounts. It ripped super hard. I was beyond satisfied with how it rode and how responsive it was. Here be some pics from yesterday!

Great running FX1 - glad I got to ride it this weekend! Now I need to get an impeller in my wife's ski, can't have that stock FX1 keeping up with me... lol.

Haha only reason I kept up is because I weight a buck 50 max haha wet lul. That or you put some secret stuff into the engine while she camped in the mad scientists lab haha!
