From a distance at the GA Freeride I saw the hood removed and it looked super thin and light. Any photos of just the hood, I didn’t get a chance to come look at it up and close. AKA ADD got the best of m… oh look squirrels.
Here are some pics of the hood. As you can see, I have a couple extra breather tubes that pull air from the front portion of the tray, but are part of the hull. @fatboyktm creation as we were tired of running the big ratchet straps. As far as the hood sealing goes, I designed it to be much like a ziplock container lid. The liner is a perfect female match to the ski so I simply spread a thin layer of silicone in the hood channel to create an o-ring type gasket. Also notice that the hood fits inside the hull just above the tray area. After securing the latch, its impossible to shift the hood in any direction and it actually helps stabilize the upper sides of the top deck.
