Well I went to crank it this evening and got no spark...awesome. I also weighed it. RTR with hood, lightweight battery, and maybe half a gallon of fuel so I could try to start it and it's 230lbs. I am missing a couple nit noid things. Still need to install the small strips of turf for the bond rail, a bilge pump, and the handlebar grips. Maybe 2-3 lbs for those things so call it 235lbs just to be safe. I doubt I'll have a chance to ride it tomorrow but maybe Sunday.

What ski build would be complete without a destructive backfire? Nothing terrible but blew one of the couplers off and had to go back and get tools to fix it. The ski feels like a new animal though and I didn't change any of the guts. Feels so much more powerful than my last ski. I'm still trying to get my timing back down for setup wakes and just generally relearn to ride after so many months off. It doesn't really leak much water either so those versiplugs are doing wonders over the scuppers. The ski's balance is off a little so I'll have to tinker with that some but it's nothing drastic...just not perfect.

Not sure of exact cost, but he destroyed all the haters with this ski. The finish on the ski is immiculate, and I didn't see it turfed. Great job John

I think that pretty much covers it... More specifically. About the same as a decent used RN hull including molds, materials, etc.

Congrats! Looks just like the original. Mad props on getting in done in time and on budget. Love it or hate it, no one can question your ability to do it.

John has given up on skis. And focused on mtn biking, slalom skiing, and wakeboarding. I haven't even rode this yet. He says it needs some tuning.
