Yes, it probably would. :)

And that's why I post these things. So you guys will remind me of things I overlook.

Within reason, what type of tests would you guys like to see thing put through?

What kind of gap it will jump consistently.
Depends on your ignition coils, the surf setup what @OCD Solutions and @Ducky has, has lower voltage output coils. The freestyle fresh water setup are higher spark energy. Constant gap with the smaller coils are about 20mm, the new coils hasn't been tested yet for the fresh water units

It's alive!!!!

I finally got the flywheel in my hands. Half an hour later it was drilled out, the new magnet was epoxied in and I bolted it into the test bench for the first run.

The software connected immediately and I was able to pull and save the curve that came with the unit. I am loving the monitor feature where it displays rpm and timing set. I confirmed the rpm was dead on but unfortunately the new timing light I ordered did not arrive in time for the initial test fire.

Thermal images taken after a half hour of running @7980 RPM

Unit temp is 80F

Coils are around 110F

Spark output is strong and unwavering. I usually see quite a bit of arc wandering but these are crisp and direct.

This is at 8000 RPM jumping a 4mm gap that is also inline with a BR8HS resistor plug.

I've uploaded a bunch of videos to my Facebook page already and am working on uploading them to Vimeo while I let the unit run for a couple hours straight. It seems to like 8000 RPM so that's where I left it. :)

Just got to witness one of the coolest features of this system. Anyone who runs TL and has run a battery dead will agree, this is pretty damn cool.

I went out to check temps on the unit at the 1.5 hr mark and found it was only sparking on one cylinder. I threw a meter on the battery and found it to be at 7.9 volts. This battery is known to be weak so that was no surprise it died so soon but it was cool to see the unit was still firing and with a nice hot spark no less.

Testing shows the unit will fire both plugs at anything above 8VDC and will continue to fire Cyl #2 right down to 7VDC.
