^^^^^ I have the exact looking ski in my garage attic right now, unfortunately with nothing in it. The hand laid fiberglass is pretty cool though.

check out this stock bilge filter, it's a brass sheet bent into the shape of a box, with a brass screen soldered to it....

and the waterbox is handlaid too.....

the fuel filler tube going from the hull cap to the tank is copper with a ground wire soldered to it, connected to the engine.

Blue, but for some reason I want to say it is 76

if it's a '76 it's not a hand-laid hull. if it's a blue hand-laid hull it's an early '74. late '74 were the release of the yellow smc (sheet molded compound) hulls, and then the white 440's with the red and blue stripes...

We had a photo shoot at Body Beach today with a Professional photographer, and he snapped a few pics on my memory card and the rest of these pictures are from my Kodak camera.
We are going to go p/u a cd from him later of all that he took from the shoot.

This is serial #44 1973 Kawasaki 400 WSAA. Its never been in the water, never had fuel in the fuel tank. It was run on a external fuel tank before it left the factory 35 years ago.
All hand laid fiberglass, even the handle pole. Weighs 20 lbs. less and 2.5" shorter than the main production 74' SMC hulls. $995 retail. All aluminum parts are sand cast, even the pump. 26 hp engine!
Next week its going back home to Lincoln, Nebraska where it was made and will reside in the Kawasaki museum.
Enjoy!

a "V" shaped hull(WS-AA). the next version which is the one superjett-113's friend just bought is a moveable handlepole and "V" hull. the '73 I have is pretty much the same as the one he bought, except it has the flat bottom hull(WS-AB).

From all my research the WS-AA hull is the recreational with a rounded nose and flat bottom, whereas the WS-AB had the V shaped nose and a concave bottom built for racing.

Overall length.

Yeah its hard to believe that something like that could be sitting around at a furniture consignment shop. This is a PWC town and it slipped through the cracks!
The guy that owned the consignment shop bought out a storage garage full of stuff in auction style. He had no clue what he had. He thought he got a good deal for $400 selling it.

Here's a idea of what this one is worth and how rare these are:
The local owner of the big dealership here in town called "Walts" recently paid near 13K for a mint hand laid 74 yellow one that had been ridden and ran in the water a couple times, but like brand spankin new.
