Haven't had water at my house for a week. Thought the pipes froze, but they appear clear now. Replaced the pump and the check valve, primed it a gazillion times, still no H2O. Jet pump on a shallow/point well. Beginning to think the old 'draw the lake down to freeze the weeds" deal lowered my water table too much. Fark!

Well, we are finally down to our very last roll of paper towel.

It’s been a good run that lasted one month short of 5 years.

I worked for Georgia Pacific for 2.5 years and we received a case of paper products each month we worked incident free.

I quit almost 5 years ago but had stockpiled enough TP to last us 3 years and paper towel to last almost 5. We also ate off paper plates for almost 2 years and gave away countless cases of each once we maxed out our closet space.

I have been lucky enough to only take my dog to the vet 4 times in his life. He is 14 years old now.
-Neutered
-Note left on my door by animal control that he did not have current tags
-Attacked by a dire wolf (Told the vet if it cost more then 100$ to put him down and it only cost me 100$)
-Last year he had horrible stomach issues and couldn't even lay down without crying. Vet gave me some pain killers that also help with Nausea. cost me 300$ and they wanted another 1200$ for an ultra sound that may or may not help with anything.
Then he had some mouth issue and they quoted me 800$ to clean his teeth. I gave him an old pain killer and did it myself.

Your dog must be really old, the Dire Wolf went extinct 9,400 years ago, LOL.

My guy got so bad he couldn't even walk anymore. I had to carry him outside and hold him up so he could go to the bathroom this last week. It was awful to see. But this dog helped me thru the worst times of my life.... the death of my father, the break up of my marriage, the horrible health issues of my mom and my son.....just having him to play with and hike with and to sit by me as I pounded beers to drown my sorrows......UGGH!. There are times I think, no, I KNOW, if I didn't have him with me thru those dark times I might not even be here anymore. So to throw $10K at a hospital to give my little buddy surgery to get his life back, and give me my best friend back, I'd do it ten times over. I owe it to him for all he's done for me. Here he is an hour after the surgery....a little googly eyed, but looking better already. :)tobey.jpg
