^ I hate you for hating that.
Why you not heat it up and use hammerI think I did permanent nerve damage to my hands from trying to get my driceshaft outta my pump stator.. Still wouldn't come out. My palms are aching and I lost all grip strength and my hands feel so messed up. I wore gloves too. All that and it didn't budge. Lol
A block of wood. At least 50 hard smacks. Even had my dad who's super strong try and he couldn't get it. Put it in the freezer, then heated it up with a map gas torch and wacked it against was block of wood a couple times and nothing. What were you smashing your driveshaft splines against while holding the stator with your hands? Lol...
Like I said man, my dad who's ripped and can break anything lose couldn't get it lol.I do the hand hurting method. But I wear two pairs of thick gloves and stuff some rags on the stator to soften the impact to my palms.
Piece of plywood or 2x4 on the ground and smash away. Usually two or three solid hits pops it right off. You have to follow through (like hitting a baseball with a bat)
If I save three or four pumps to do at once I bring them to work and use the press. Then I work like a man instead of a "cave man"
Your trivial complaint should be that your arm muscles were too small to pop the stator off.....lol
With a brass hammer I got it off easy!!! Haha. But I'm telling you dude, everything that can go wrong with my ski usually goes wrong. It's cursed. Lol.Hmm, maybe he's not swingin as big a hammer as we are, lol.
have to go home from vacation tomorrow and start another semester of school while i build my superjet.
