Biopsy results from the lymph nodes they yanked from me last week came up as positive for metastasized melanoma. So this poop is spreading in me. Hoping to get a game plan from the oncologist today.
Oh man....... There is only one outlook to take. "Imma gonna kick your ass, I dont give up"...... Older co-worker here had pancreatic Cancer. He chose to not give up and beat it. You can do it also brother.

When I left at 6:30 this morning I had on long underwear, sweatpants , a tee shirt, a sweatshirt and a stocking cap, I warmed up the truck before I got in, by 9:30 I had to ditch the long underwear, hat and sweatshirt, at 10:30 I had to turn on the air conditioner in the truck, Welcome to Alabama !

I rarely take off work and not go any where, but this year has been a bitch. So I took all last week off. Popped in from a few minutes Monday and then Tues or Wed to take care of somethings... Walk in this morning to find out they scheduled one of my crews to go to on of my jobs (Contacted me Wed asking was job ready). Only problem is that crew did not finish the job they were on last week. They never asked if they were completed.................... Does not pay to take off.............

The correct answer is to actually take more time off. We are playing with this scenario now as our project manager has basically burned himself out and is now having to take time off for health and family issues.

The first few weekends were rough but we all stepped up and now any one of us can take a week off and the project can roll on and stay on track. Lots of communication, weekly update and progress emails, white boards and a schedule projected up on the project TV.

We were all coasting and allowing him to shoulder the brunt of the workload and responsibility. Shame on us!

The square root of the number of people in a domain do 50% of the work.

This means that in a company of 10 employees, 3 of them do 1/2 the work. The remaining 50% of the work is done by the other 7 people.
This scales too.
When there are 100 employees, 10 of them do 1/2 the work. The other 90% are doing the other half of the work.

We have a scheduling meeting every morning using white boards showing current days job schedule and next days. You can see where he texted saying Chris needed a job. He failed to ask Chris if he was going to finish the job.

I took last week off because I needed to get away and decompress. I agree with "Price's law" at least around here. There are 4 Estimators here. 2 are family members of the owners (family run business). One of them is here til 5 with me while the other "family" member (Our Field Manager) and other Estimator are ghosts after about 2:30 daily.Screenshot_20211129-100700_Messages.jpg

This is how it worked when I had a business partner, he did 1/3 of the work , I did 2/3 of the work , he took more time off and more money out , the problem surfaced when I started doing the books and keeping track of everything on an Excel spreadsheet , it was not long before I no longer had a business partner.

I sold my wife’s Sequoia yesterday and we got a van…. Of course we now get snow dumped on like crazy today!View attachment 421486
What were you thinking!!!!!!!!! LOL 2006 My Wife had just taken a new teaching job at a school about 30 minutes away. She had a 2002 Yukon with 3rd Row Seating. We find out she is pregnant a few weeks later. She trades the Yukon in on a Honda Accord to save on gas since she is driving a good bit.......... Yukon got about 20 MPG, Accord got about 22mpg. Never understood her logic, especially with a Kid coming!!!!!!!!!!

My wife used the Sequoia for her drivers license test when she turned 16 because her parents bought it new  We loved the thing but I got sick of 14 mpg, and I wanted to sell it while it has some resale left.

We got a 2019 Honda Odyssey. 15 years newer than the Sequoia!!

Those sequioas still hold value. Bet you got 10-15K for that right? People still love them aside from lower ball joints and timing chains. They go and go forever aside from that
