the trivial complaints thread

I some how have the amazing ability to pick poopty contractors. No wonder I think contractors are slimey dirtbags trying to rip you off. I would like to find one that could prove me wrong but I think its a lost cause.

Spent the last few days trying to get an older 90hp outboard running. First the bendix wouldn't engage. Fixed that. Then it was running really rough and smoking like crazy. Fixed that. Threw it in the lake, it started like a champ, less smoky than it's been in years, runs great with a nice flat idle, and no no stumble through the entire powerband. Yippee for me!! Bring it back to the dock, shut it off, tie it up and just for giggles, turn the key......nothing, just a beep from the system check alarm saying all is well. Both batteries are at 12.66V, I've got 12.66V at the starter. All fuses are fine, solenoid is brand new, I can't even get a click, never mind get the damn thing to crank.ARRGGGGGHHHH!!!

I'm trying to find motivation to study hard for finals..i just keep on telling myself that in a few days my main focus will be able to be on skis, and that makes it a lot easier to focus and rep this stuff out! Gotta kill Chem 2 and Calc 3. Calc 3 is ROUGH at MSOE.. My buddy had 35 kids in his class and now has 15 lol

WTH is with no trailers coming with titles?! what are these people all doing with these titles that they lose them so damn often? I doubt that more than 5% of trailers for sale in Colorado have titles, even though the state requires one for them to be registered. I guess everyone using trailers in Colorado are ridin dirty.

California is the same way... "just register it as home built"

Related, we had someone do a heavy cleaning on a house. The quote was 2k. Once the cleaning was done, bill was 6.5k. Yeah, no forking way. Another guy gave us a quote to paint the interior of an on property in-law cottage for 4k, all included. Bill came and it was 17k. That one is in the hands of the lawyer; scumbags need to be dealt with.

I can understand a slight deviation of price, but that is just plain extortion.

I don't understand why you need a lawyer. You have a written quote for $4K, that's what you pay. Done deal.

It's more or less a scare tactic and to tell him to **** off. I don't deal with scumbags, I let the lawyers and the law do it. It saves me busted knuckles and an assault charge.

Complaint, I have to wake up early on my sleep in day. I probably should stop sleep in days, I feel groggy all day.
