Apparently, when the PO said he had the brakes done, he meant just the fronts...

My first home I am buying with my siblings closes Thursday, and we can start the complete Reno Friday/Sat/Sunday..... It just so happens that spring has decided to arrive and we will have 20*C temps Saturday when we've been stuck in 5*C for the past two weeks....

So I had my Blaster top end bored for some new Pro-tec pistons here in town, that all went well and was done the next day. The wrist pin bearings I had were close to new but I wanted new, so I started calling around locally and called Tech 1 first. They did not have any new ones.

So then I called Havasu Power Sports, they are owned by Parker Yamaha which has a million things for PWC and all things Yamaha. Any hoo, I tell the guy at the parts counter that I need a couple wrist pin bearings for a 61X Yamaha twin water craft. Of course he says " Well Sir I need to know the make and model", I said ok I understand, "its a 1994 WaveBlaster". He then said "Oh sorry we will not have this part for something that old in stock" I then said, "OK, how about wrist pin bearings for a 2016 SuperJet, they are the same thing, and also anything from the 1990 Superjet to the 2016 SJ will work!" In fact anything from Yamaha that is 2 cylinder watercraft engine will work". So he looks it up on his computer and says "now where is this part at?" i said its the wrist pin bearing inside the piston that connects to the crankshaft rods..." A minute later he finds it and says, " so its the little bearing inside of the piston???" I say yes. He says "sorry we have none in stock". I ask do you have any down in Parker(40 miles away) He checks on his computer and says no and that they are $26.95 each. I just say OK thanks for your help and that was the end of that. So then I go to parkeryam.com and see them for the more NORMAL price of $15 each!

WHAT A FKN NOOB and should not be working in a parts dept. at ALL. He did not even know what a wrist pin bearing or wrist pin for that matter was!!
He says with a big justifiable sound in his voice "well in my computer its just called "bearing"...lol I wanted to bust out laughing... HAHAH OMG it was so surreal... BIG waste of time!

I just want to know how or where they are getting me so I can protect myself.

I inspect the card reader at the pump before every use even.

I think there are skimmers installed at Parker's. Both incidences occurred within 12 hrs of me buying fuel at the Parker's on Pooler Parkway.

My engine builder tells me my forester engine will only be two weeks out minimum because we are a shop and he builds all his wholesale engines first to help us with faster turnarounds. That was three and a half weeks ago that he got full payment plus i also paid in full for a clutch kit and a set of intake spacers. So i have given him 4000 dollars up front and when i called him yesterday to see if engine had shipped he tells me hes behind on engine builds and wont have mine done and shipped until next week. Technically i needed it a week ago so i could get it built and installed and do the 1000 mile break in before the big national forester event next weekend at the dragon. So now im going to have to drive a miata to a subaru event and be that guy. Only plus side to this is that it gives me more time to do more porting. Now that i have built the heads, i am porting the exhaust manifolds. Oh well back to the grinder.

Dreamed last night that I had finished building my ski and it wouldn't do anything but cavitate. I was already at the freeride so I was pretty bummed. Flipped it over and noticed that there was no nose cone on the prop which wouldn't be a huge deal. Went to examine it and the whole prop fell off and slid up the shaft!

Woke up tossing, turning and trying to talk about it to my wife. She was less than amused. Think I'm more tired this morning than when I laid down last night...

I had to explain to my GF recently that my nightmares consist of nice Great Lake surfs and everything possible slowing my down from getting in the water. Filling up fuel, getting oil, losing a glove, missing a boot, no lanyard....... And then, just as I get in the water and go to hit my first wave I wake up....

She had no sympathy.
