So I had my Blaster top end bored for some new Pro-tec pistons here in town, that all went well and was done the next day. The wrist pin bearings I had were close to new but I wanted new, so I started calling around locally and called Tech 1 first. They did not have any new ones.
So then I called Havasu Power Sports, they are owned by Parker Yamaha which has a million things for PWC and all things Yamaha. Any hoo, I tell the guy at the parts counter that I need a couple wrist pin bearings for a 61X Yamaha twin water craft. Of course he says " Well Sir I need to know the make and model", I said ok I understand, "its a 1994 WaveBlaster". He then said "Oh sorry we will not have this part for something that old in stock" I then said, "OK, how about wrist pin bearings for a 2016 SuperJet, they are the same thing, and also anything from the 1990 Superjet to the 2016 SJ will work!" In fact anything from Yamaha that is 2 cylinder watercraft engine will work". So he looks it up on his computer and says "now where is this part at?" i said its the wrist pin bearing inside the piston that connects to the crankshaft rods..." A minute later he finds it and says, " so its the little bearing inside of the piston???" I say yes. He says "sorry we have none in stock". I ask do you have any down in Parker(40 miles away) He checks on his computer and says no and that they are $26.95 each. I just say OK thanks for your help and that was the end of that. So then I go to parkeryam.com and see them for the more NORMAL price of $15 each!
WHAT A FKN NOOB and should not be working in a parts dept. at ALL. He did not even know what a wrist pin bearing or wrist pin for that matter was!!
He says with a big justifiable sound in his voice "well in my computer its just called "bearing"...lol I wanted to bust out laughing... HAHAH OMG it was so surreal... BIG waste of time!
