Lowes customer service: "yes we do price match if it's the same product"
Me: "it's the same product. 1x6 cedar pickets"
Them: "with the same part number, from the same vendor?"
Me: "how would I know that? They look the exact same."
Them: "Is their store in the same zip code?"
Me: "it's like three miles away. I would buy there but they aren't open today. Here is their online price for the exact same product (show them my phone so they can see every detail). It's nearly half of your price."
Them: "we need to verify their online price by contacting their manager."
Me: "but I just told you they are closed today."
Them: "I guess we can't price match then."

I am it's also not shielded like it was suppose to be. This is twice this week I've gotten dicked on orders. Got a bait and switch on a part for my boat pic wasn't what I received won't take back unless I pay for return shipping and maybe after a month they will refund me. Told them to get bent.

Lately I have been hating my ** job and my ** life in general and needing an escape so I booked off the rest of the week after Memorial day to give myself a nice long 9 day chance to recover some perspective.
I came in to work today to find out that I have been elected to perform "emergency" ** machine alignments on the Sunday before ** Memorial Day. The best part is, if the ** job runs over, I can ** work right into ** Memorial day without affecting ** production. Way to * my vacation!
So, I said * that and moved my ** vacation days to the following ** week.
This gets my ** wife all ** excited because she was going to be out of ** town for most of the week I was supposed to be off and now, not only will she be home the same ** time as me, but I will now be home on the ** Friday when her ** Brother and his ** family are showing up to spend the ** night and I now get to tour ** River street with them and their 2 ** kids. FYI, River street is no place for these two ** squares, much less them and their ** kids.
And if that isn't ** fun enough for ya, I then get to spend my ** Saturday driving all the way to ** Atlanta and back with a ** family of 4 that is never less than 2 ** hrs late for any event 30 minutes from their house, much less 4 ** hours and lacks any ** resemblance of common ** sense or ** logic.
** * me sideways with a ** pineapple, I'm going to have to take another ** week off immediately after my first ** week off, just to avoid ** killing somebody the ** following week!
And that's my ** rant for the night!

Something has to change and nothing can or will with my current employment. Time to start looking for something else...maybe a little further North this time.
I love my current job but pay is half what I'm used to and no freedom on the other front. Sucks but should pay off long term

I took this job as a stepping stone into a new industry but unfortunately I just don't enjoy the work and have been stuck on 2nd and 3rd shifts for the past 3 years. My employer is essentially the Maytag of the Aerospace industry.
I much prefer production in the wood industry where I have an entire facility to work on instead of just 5 machines that require the same routine maintenance day in and day out.
