I hear ya Boyer. I was scheduled to work the 4th for the fifth year in a row at my job. But I broke my wrist again last week so I'm off and one handed now.

Almost have my ski dialed in, and even though I greased my carb gaskets one tore already.. And then to make things worse, when I took my jet side cover off, my diaphragm came flying off and I lost it in the lake and couldn't find it. So much for tuning tonight!!!

camera men from the news were at the lake yesterday. They were filming the boats and the beach but just for fun I rode over to their line of sight and did a couple of my best subs and a fountain. They didnt seem to have any interest in me and picked up their camera and moved on. I figured oh well so I rode away from them a ways and tried practicing (really just failing at) some turn subs, which have been an illusive trick for me. out of 100 tries i might end up doing one or two... Anyways, this morning i get a text from a friend about how he saw me on the news. I was really hoping they would have aired the fountain so I watch the clip. Nope. they aired my sorriest attempt at a turn sub that i had all day. WTF... Skip to 2:23 to see how big of a d1ck that cameraman must have been to give them that footage of me when he clearly had better options lol.

Against my better judgment, I got the superjet dialed in after a few beer, and a few minutes after dusk I decided to ride it real quick after the sheriff boat passed. Nope, they saw me take off and circled back.

Sheriff: "it's 11 minutes past dusk, we saw you waiting for us to pass".
Me: "I'm sorry sir, just got it running and wanted to test it quickly".
Sheriff: "put it up for the night".
Me:" yessir ".

Lesson learned

Buddy needed me to torch out some bolts that had snapped off in an exhaust flange. He tried to back them out but kept breaking the back out bits.

So I get after them with my torch, and they were no joke. I heated the crap out of them and they wouldn't blow out when hit with the oxygen like most steel does.
The point of the story and my trivial complaint? I assumed this would be a easy task. 3 min per bolt minimum. And because of that assumption, I declined to wear any sort of eye protection. Now a torch isn't like a welder. So a little exposure isn't that big of a deal.
But these sumsabishes took a good 10min each to burn out. And today.....

Not sure if i'm being a little bish or if its legit, but i'm vaguely miserable this morning.

I've been really spoiled by this JM781 motor. I think i've been running it for 4 seasons and certain things are just wearing out, its all normal maintenance stuff, but since I haven't had to deal with any of it... its like

My daughter's boyfriend has been riding my son's squarenose this summer. Three times I have had to rescue him because a plug wire has popped off the plug, either rendering the SN to totally run like crap (obviously) or to not start. Three times he has seen me pull the hood, push the wire back on, and say "You're all set, the plug wire just popped off so I put it back on". Why, by the third time, did he not even pull the hood to see if something looked wrong?

I got transferred to a different ship (not optional, i didnt want to go) to finish a job because the other guy quit.
I was given 3 weeks to do 3 months worth of work..
The cook here insists on using an over dose of pam on everything he cooks. Plus, he cant cook! (Ive lost weight in the last 3 weeks)
They brought in a second guy to help with the job who is now my room mate.. Great.. Our room is about 10ft X 12ft... Hes a slob, he smells, he didnt know what pair of "channel locks" were (aka, hes stupid), and so far every damn morning he starts screaming in his sleep at 3am... WTF!!!!!

When you guys think you have it bad, just think, you could be me..

Reminds me of a smelly guy we had on our crew buggy. We would febreze him while he was sleeping.
