2 zip ties will take care of that.

I tried a single ziptie the first time, but never went for 2. Last night I replaced the coil with one I had redone by JSS last year. The plug wires on the SN were the original OEM ones. So, not only are the MSD boots much more snug, but it runs better as well. Two birds.....

The bigger question is why is your daughter dating such a doofus? How old is your future son-in-law?

He just turned 21. All things considered, he is a really good kid. Very polite, doesn't drink or smoke, doing great in college, works two jobs, and most importantly treats my daughter like a princess. So, if his lack of mechanical aptitude is going to be my cross to bear, I am fine with that.

Hell yeah man. You can teach him all that stuff, be some good bonding time.

God i'm not looking forward to having to deal with all that mess. And my daughter turns 5 the end of this month so its not like its happening at any minute, but still...

I read this as zip tiing his arms and legs together and tossing him back in the water..

Hey, This way you can teach him and he wont be a know-it-all........

This past weekend there were some University Students at our Sailing club. They know all there is to know about sailing.......... Yet, They went down a long channel that is pretty narrow and got up in the rocks. Club member rode a seadoo down there and they said they were fine. 2 hours later someone went to get them. They were 40 yards from the wind and could not get to it. The wind was even blowing the direction they needed to go......... They had 2 paddles in the boat...........

I took a week off of work so I can redo all the flooring in our house, (1700sq/ft). It's day one and if my knees weren't hurting enough already, I had to go and kneel on a carpet strip and bury at least 5 of those nasty little nails as deep as they could reach.:mad::mad::(:(:(:confused::confused:

Not sure if this belongs in the flooring thread or here. Lol

I have knee pads. Good ones even. The straps around the back hurt almost as much as going without. I had them on earlier and discarded them where I was able to kneel on the old underpad.

My creativity/motivation/production peaks between 12am and 2am. Doesn't work well when I have an 8-5 and working on my own business.

It's only Monday and I can already forecast a tired week. Just like the past 2 months.

I found a trick that works pretty good, if there are upper and lower straps. use just the lower. Or, dont strap them at all. Just place them under your knees and slide them when you move. One of my tile installers does it this way.

So I replaced the thermostat on the Jetta yesterday. Started it up and all seemed well. Heading to work today and the oil pressure light comes on. Stop, check oil, level looks up. Start it back up, no light but there is a terrible clicking/tapping noise now. Sounds like it's coming from the head. Awesome.

I don't know how VW's work, but I had a Toyota that had a tube that pumped oil up to the head. So you had oil in the pan, but none was going to the head and you could eat up the top end real quick and not even know it.

That sucks though, hope it isn't too expensive to fix.

People that don't get all they way to left while turning left at light... Why!? It only helps you and the other side see if they are going to get smashed by a speeding car... I see people all the time in the furthest right side of the left turning lane... Drives me crazy

Speaking of car probs, my 4runner started this thing today where it would idle really low for a few seconds then go back to normal. I went to make a U turn this morning and it died, only reason I knew it wasn't running is the Power Steering stopped. Started it back up and away I went. I imagine its something easy but who knows.

Still no job offer. I checked with my contact at the new place and he said "We're getting final sign-offs internally, its taking a little longer than we hoped, i'll keep you posted."
The only good news is that I'll probably get to collect one last commission check before I leave my current place of employment. This is so crazy.

You may be collecting your first Social Security check before you formally sign on, with the rate they are moving at.

Not sure if I'm the only fishermen that gets the hebejebes when you pull a fish out of the water and their eyeballs are moving and watching what you're doing.

Freaks me out sometimes.
