So I’m not the only one!!!

Every time I see the analogy of cutting one end off the blanket and sewing it on the other, I literally have been losing my chit. Nobody ever claimed the day was any f@cking longer but that band of red in the middle of the blanket is closer to one end than the other than it was before.

When you gotta run into the can while out on the road to drop a deuce and just as you open the door what you see is an immediate nope. Next stall, a bigger nope. Third round you lift the seat and it's either dripping yellow or has it running down all over underneath. Last resort is to make a layered tp grade seat cover because you no longer trust any seat in the place. The Flying J up here at least is very good for clean washrooms, but I have seen some other places that were just scary. Working in landscaping you at some point have to give in and see what your options are. Some of the cleaner looking places had the much lesser clean facilities while others you would think are going to be at least as bad as the outside are a total opposite...and then there are those where what's behind door number one for going number two is every bit as horrid as the rest of the place.

Rear ended in my little Miata yesterday. My GF's 11 year old daughter had a panic attack at school so I went to pick her up in the MX5 because she loves to ride in it. Nice guys finish last. Thankfully it was before I even got to her school, so she wasn't in the car when the idiot plowed into me. Amazing that a 2200 lb 30 year old convertible held up far better than a 9000 lb 2015 Mercedes Benz Sprinter van.

Normally this is where you say pics or it didn't happen but in this case I will just say good luck on the repairs.

Dammit man............ Glad you are ok...........

The most depressing times in my life were the years of working in windowless buildings, arriving in the dark, leaving in the dark. Not seeing daylight for 5-6 days a week is really hard on mental health. This guy is talking like nothing has changed in 70 years. Every street near a school has lights and almost every road with a sidewalk. Cars have MUCH better lighting. And if it's that hard to avoid running people down when it's dark, maybe it is better that we have some daylight on the commute home. One way is better than none.

I bet FedEx and UPS drivers absolutely hate the time change , most of those guys work till 7:00pm, that means at least two hours of driving around in the dark delivering packages. has to suck.

As opposed to driving around for 4 or more hours of darkness in the morning?
L

Personally I would rather drive in the dark early in the morning when no one is out then late in the day when everyone is going home , no wait that makes way too much sense scratch that !

You could just wake up earlier. Most construction jobs are 7-3:30. Not having daylight until 9am in the norther states would blow. I am willing to fight anyone to the death on this topic

I manage the maintence of a golf course. Daylight savings absolutely matters. A simple Google search will show its for the farmers. Making the morning/day start earlier, ie; light. Is definitely beneficial to alot of industry. If you can't see if. Maybe wake up earlier.

Time in the morning. Is MUCH more valuable than time at night. To a HUGE portion of the population.

Don't worry though. The majority of people view the world from their own personal bubble of opinion. You fit the mold well

Imagine if I couldn't send my Mowers out till 9am. But the golfers wanna start at 7am. Like they do. All year. No one cares about your cush office job dude. Daylight savings is for men in the field who need light to do man shiat. Outside. Where they need light. Not at 945am

How about you just adjust your schedule based on sunrise and sunset.... not based on some arbitrary time on the clock....... farmers and outdoor workers dont keep bankers hours anyhow... daylight is daylight.

Isn't that exactly what DST is????

I feel like we need to say f@ck it for one year for people to realize that DST is actually a good idea. People blame DST for the seasonal change rather than nature itself. It was going to happen anyways, and you were going to adjust your schedule anyways, DST is a manifestation of what most were going to do anyways.

I grew up on a farm working hours have nothing to do with the time on the clock, working time on a farm is from can to can't.

I don't care which schedule it is, the daylight savings time schedule or the non daylight savings time schedule, but changing back and forth is just stupid. Pick one and go with it.
