Masterblaster, you forget I been down that road,
if I could find a woman who welds I would do it.
Woman do repitition much better then men.
But I don't want to go down the hire employees any more.
I'm a one person band.
For past 15yrs everything with my name on it was built by me 100%
and when something goes wrong it's all me!
I wantto keep it that way, simple!

Whats the old saying?

If u want chit done right-do it your dam self. lol It's sad at how much that 'old saying' has become the way of life with todays employees that are on the job market!!!

You still have not figured Tim out yet. He is not doing this as a job, to make money off of the chambers. He does not need the work. He likes the challenge. The only concern for money is just to cover his time, if he makes a few bucks great, he is happy, but his real payday is when he puts the finished product on a ski and it works better than anything out there available. Sending production to China is not what he is after. He could give a rats ass about it from that stand point.

or you either then...lol Im not trying to make tim more $.doesnt sound like he needs it from the talk in this thread,if its just about covering cost. Im putting forward a way for the reg guys to have a nice pipe that doesnt cost a arm and a leg. nothing in this thread or the other one has made any sense to me,so I guess I shouldnt be surprised now either. sure.....sure on the china thing at this level of production,in this case all thats really needed is one cheap out of work welder........this isnt rocket science

I totally agree on the woman thing,I hire them for the tedious cutin work.Wheres the trailer queen welder when you need one,lol

Ok im think I am a bit late getting into this thread but good to see you back here tim on the scene again
I would love to see a pipe built for free ride engines around the 760 platform with 44s etc
I believe thats the more common setup that people would be running
When you design this pipe please bear in mind that the 2008+ superjet has a more restrictive water box then the previous version.
Its a shame that your only thinking of doing 25 as this will make them get swooped up in a hurry and not leave many for the rest of us
I would love to see one with a different stinger size for the people that build the larger engines , maybe a pipe that you can fit a stinger size adjuster in

not a problem, to do larger stinger size. If the market can bear an additional 20 bucks in cost we can male them with large stinger and stinger that works best with test motor.
As for only 25, if they sell quick and things go well I will invest more time and build more.
I'm just not willing to jump out and build more then that to start out.
I have very little faith in the market.
Basically I'm using the loan a friend money modo.
Don't loan more money then you can afford to loose.
That way when you don't get it back your not bitter and loose a friend!
But I have had some health issues from stress and to many 100hr weeks and it's time for me to pick and choose my battles carefully!

I think its certainly worth looking at
There is a lot of people out there with large engines that are running b-pipes
I understand your lack of faith in the market. I guess we will see how well the market responds to your pipe
When you do test on the dyno im hoping you will list things like the diameter of the header pipe/ manifold opening etc, as i can see alot of people with old chambers buying this chamber off you. It will help to know what specs you had your pipe

Godoc , right now with your motor combo, do you think the r&d works better then your TNT?
Give me as much info as you can in your answer please

tim

the boat i am using the tnt in cannot run a r & d dry pipe, it is in a blaster.
i took the same setup i am using now and put on a factory pipe octane dry pipe and it turned 7500 rpm's and gained @ 5 mph more than the tnt did. it did have a little less bottom end but i never even played with it. they made it illegal for spec class as soon as i posted my results.

current setup with the tnt is 62t top (81.5) and bottom, novi 46's, riva manifold, vf2 reeds, msd enhancer, stock timing. manifold and headpipe ported to 49 mm. hooker prop 11/17 ,stock pump, turns 7000 rpm's and goes 52.5 all on pump gas. blowsion head with domes that yield 180 compression.

i am limited by the sport spec rules to run a wet pipe only. one day i will shoot you a pic of my chamber to see which one i have. this chamber out of the 2 i tested yielded 200 more rpm's.

have any of you tried this water routing in the tnt pipe? This is the water routing for limited to mod,
free ride may want to restict the center outlout a little to increase low end.

with flipflops boat I was able to get 8100rpm with a 12 vane and 13-16 swirl cut back but with that prop and his tunnel bottom it only went like 58mph with that prop combo.

same here on pic

but my water is dual into the manifold, water from rear head into pipe bottom, then water out of pipe overboard. water from front head into stinger with bypass overboard with flow control valve into stinger with 2.5 n/s for further restriction. works well for very long wide open runs and no issues idling extended time either.

try this pic
I have always ran my pipe as a seperate cooling system from the engine, that way one doesnt affect the other, and you have more consistant water temps in your pipe.
I found that cold water into the bottom allows the least amount of water in the system and keep the pipe running at nice crisp temps but will allow excelent idle time and quick throttle response. but the top end suffered a little, so when i drilled the mid point outlet and flow 90% of the water out there and now the headpipe can get very hot and motor revs well with no bottom, this is the original superstock water diagram that came with the pipes when purchased new.
the pipes seem to stay in circulation but the diagrams and tuning tips seem to have been forgoten about

Does that explain the results of adding a spray bar in the headpipe and closing all 3 screws? For a race ported 62T 760 engine I have way more bottom than I should. My top end is pretty decent as well.
