So last week I got a call. Ack from the University of Tennessee hospital with 3 different job offers from a job fair I had attended, I am about 45 days fron graduating nursing school and finally starting my new career. 4.5 years in the making and I beat out 275 other candidates for my dream job which is Trauma/ ER in our regions only level 1 trauma hospital. They will also pay for my bachelors degree, and have tons of opportunity to learn and see things other hospitals wont touch.

Trim motor crapped the bed on the Yamaha outboard on my pontoon boat. OEM Replacement $354.00 Quick search on Google lead me to a replacement from DB Electrical for $61.00 shipped. 20 minutes to yank the old motor and plop in the new one. Done.

@SXIPro DB is located here in town.They used to have a parts counter you could buy about anything electrical related, then Al Gore created the interweb.They figured out eBay was a lot easier to sell.l used to buy 550 Kawi starters from them for cheap.

Well, if so, you'll hear about it in the Trivial Complaints thread. And considering this is intermittent duty, not continuous duty (I trim up coming out of my cove, and one other spot on the lake) hopefully I get a few years out of it. And compared to the cost of OEM I can replace it 6 times for the same overall cost.....not that I want to though. But I appreciate the heads up.

I’m out of town on a work assignment and was regretting flying vs driving.

The flight over had a bunch of delays and driving would have been faster plus I would have had my truck for the next 3 weeks instead of a POS Toyota Tundra.

Anyways, it all worked out pretty good yesterday because we found that they had spray painted a section of equipment and got overspray on all of the cars in front of the project trailer.

4 of the 7 cars were rentals so only 3 people had their personal vehicles affected.

They didn’t get the PM’s new Porsche either so that’s a very good thing.

About 15 years ago we were doing the flooring at the first Big Addition to the Mercedes Plant here. The painter asked about panting a bunch of steel work outside. They said yes. But you cannot spray. They snuck in on a saturday to paint and you guessed it. they sprayed............ Guess what happened Monday morning.......... Yup. They got a phone call that would end up costing them over $100,000.00. Many of the cars were able to be wiped and then polished. Several went back to the paint shop........

Same thing happened in my home town years ago. They sprayed one of the big grocery stores and got over 500 vehicles, half of which were brand new vehicles at the dealership across the street.

Working out at the gym this morning on the arc climber listening to Pandora 'Aerosmith Radio" . Quite the diversity of songs. Went from War Pigs by Sabbath right into Dancing in the Moonlight by King Harvest. made me chuckle. Plus the girl on the treadmill in front of me had a nice shimmy in her backside. Win Win.

Just dropped off my rental truck and they didn’t notice the overspray but it hadn’t gone to the wash bay yet.

How long before they notify me or do you think they’ll just clean it up and move on?

Thanks guys! Just wrapped up my cinco de Marko graduation celebration with some guys from the shop and people fron nursing school. Nice mix of old and new friends cold beers and some tasty brisket. Now the last obstacle in the way is my state board exam and I am on my way to being turned loose on the general public. Happy cinco yall!

Just took my state board exam. The anxiety coming up to this was unreal! I got 75 questions(you can get up to 265) and it cut off. Hopefully I passed. Should find out in the next few days. Such a stressful test, literally felt like I didnt know the answer to any of the questions. Heres to hoping I passed!

My son had his first 6 month follow up MRI after his first round of an experimental treatment for MS, and the scans showed no new lesions on his brain and ZERO progression of the disease. Today is a wicked phucking good day!
