Tommy Rockets Aquabot Build

Motor:

61X case with single Mikuni SBN 44 carb
62T cylinder bored to a 760
ADA girdled head with 38 domes ( 180 psi )
MSD ignition
Boyesen reeds
Factory pipe bored to 51 - 52 mm

Although the cylinder is not an X model do not let this T fool you... Sure it is not a Dasa, TPE, etc... but... this motor pulls strong and has consistent pull from low to mid to top end... Also using an Impros 9 / 15 prop with a wet wolf shorty pump cone... 20140923_140251.jpg20140923_162738.jpg Motor is out... some parts on order ( motor mounts, H2O waterbox, Aura handlepole, internal fuel fill, new fuel lines, midshaft being rebuilt, pump parts, etc... )

Well... off to Lima, Peru for 1 month... Getting married to my beautiful Peruvian / Italian wife... Stay tuned in 1 month... !!!

SN is 100% stripped... Pump as well... Here are a few pics 20140923_130813.jpg20140923_140559.jpg 20140928_135932.jpg20140928_142949.jpg Motor mounts shot.... Midshaft shot.. IMPORTANT NOTE: On all AM hulls... you must use a RN midshaft housing... SN will not work... Solas 13 / 17 swapped for the Impros 9 / 15

A few more pics...20140928_135940.jpg20140928_144004.jpg 20140923_131146.jpg20140923_141845.jpg Please note for Solas prop removals... Turn clockwise to remove... Use a vise...make sure your pump is supported so it does not move... I used a few pieces of wood screwed down to the table to lock my pump in place... next move... push down on wrench in clockwise motion and hope for the best... these babies are on there... got mine off using no heat or breaker bar... I about had an aneurysm... but... she came loose... !!!

I am ordering a new pump wear ring... My new Hooker was rubbing ever so slightly in 1 spot and would not to a complete rotation without forceful spinning... Pump bearings are in great shape...

Shaft splines look MINT considering 2 motor mounts were cooked and midshaft ( well you saw the pics )

Thanks JetX.... the best part about this motor is the single carb set up which makes for easy adjustments.... plus... the dependability factor... hit green button and goooo... !!!

Plus this motor rips... it is not a rip your arm off style... but... pulls good and strong all the way through the power band...

Loving the color myself... !!!

Let's give some BIG SUPPORT... to my Florida suppliers... Thrust Innovations, Steve from Watercraft Factory, Chris from Jetmaniac & Chris A. from Thrust at Lake Havasu Freestyle finals.... Kick some tail son and bring back the GOLD !!!

Of course Tony from Tiger Craft.... Had a great experience working with Tony... Timing was spot on... Our agreed time to build was within the range given for this build... VERY HAPPY with this transaction !!!

Tonys been incredibly helpful and patient with me lol. I'm currently deployed and I'll be back in a month, so the communication has been tough. I haven't ridden or seen one in person either but everyone loves them and can't seem to stop complimenting them.

Are you swapping out skis or starting a new build... ???

I'm gonna keep my superjet stock and not tear into to keep the reliability. I'm lookin into the JetManiac 781 with an MSD enhancer, b-pipe, lightened flywheel, and dual 44s to start. Once I get the cash I plan on upgrading to the TPE 964 and powerfactor, unless I can manage to get the cash for that from the start.
