If you order Full Specs they come pre dialed now for TPE's they are pretty close right out of the box if your running the standard high performance goods. 135/125 1.8 N/S and 23 psi. if youre on TL with PFP its plug and play. These packages are now so common its a no brainer fro our crews. Only question is Power or MORE POWER. If you run enhancer or other the jetting is smaller. Heat, humidity, water temp, water cooling routing, etc play a huge role in any aftermarket tuning package. For 50-70 deg water were pretty dialed. Again as many have said over the years, its not just about the parts, it the entire package and tuning. I wish tuning were a 30 min deal. Once you ride someones who is dialed and perfect for you get the same builder to do yours.

lol yea y'all must be crazy. you don't have the pnp custom drilled 126.2 pilot yet.jj Phil. nats arse tuning is a Picasso around here

I have a 950 dasa +8.

Who have test the difference between the 950 dasa and 964 tpe with the same parts and hull?

What s the best for power and reliability?

Thanks

No. My DVX is perfect with the 900. I'm going to built a bad ass rec boat. Just want it to have some ass behind it

wilkey and I use to have the same rrp pipe and 49fs carbs,I had tl with way more timing on the 964 and he ran enhanser, sim size pumps,I has a much lighter hull, as expected 964 pulled faster just off idle, after that it was a wash.pretty similar, swap hulls and ign,950 would pull it top to bottom imho

Anyone who has ridden my P&P tuned TPE 964 will disagree. There is no flat or weak spot in the 964's RPM range. It'll pull until redline and will throw you 20 feet away from the ski if you're not holding on. There's a reason why my DASA 48 carbs are jetted for a DASA 1100...

your motor feels better than most 964 ive ridden, lil sauce in that one beyond tuning. The older dasa 950s do much better on comp,to get through the bottom rpm. Id like to ride one of the newer 950s in comparison

My sunk 964 on PFP spanked that 950 on RRP pipe all day long, the 950 signs off way too early to hang in comp. If you are comparing your boat to Brian's I would say it's probably your tuning skills that have you feeling like yours isnt all that, give it to Phil. He can fix whatever you did to it...

lol Your 964 was no where near as impressive as Dans, even considering the hull weight.guess tuning was the issue there as well then. How does it do compared to your current setup? This 950 pulls way longer and harder than you would ever consider hitting a wave at even in a heavy hull

Generally speaking a good 10 mill dasa or other wise ported and built by the right person should be a beast. Ive never been that impressed with any SS motor,That said, this one with everything thrown at it possible, does pretty well, further porting,pv changes, rrp pipe,TL with high timing,fs49 carbs in light carbon hull. I still much prefer a 10 mill to work with for the seat of pants dyno lol

Like I don't get it..... Just keep stirring it up.

A direct comparison was asked for between the 2 motors we most recently have. That's what we found. That and the natives in this thread are always fun. It's good entertainment to hear how dasa 950 signs off early and can't even compare by sponsored tpe rider

And it's good to hear a report about a tpe motor not being as good from a known tpe dissenter that can't tune. We've all seen the picture of your setup should we compare yours to Josh's professionally built and tuned ski? Side by side pics might help to explain your findings.
